The drive to Fokianos is one of the most stunning I've had the pleasure of experiencing during my travels in Greece.
Be careful when you are driving as it is a very winding roads so take your time. The road is asphalt most of the way except for the last few hundred metres as you enter the beach.
There are 2 taverns at the beach which will keep you fed and watered. If you wish to stay the night and don't have a caravan, the tavern run by Mr. Kostas rents rooms upstairs.
Regarding the beach itself, it is very clean and great for swimming but be careful of the urchins that you'll clearly see. If they prick your feet, you'll be in a bit of pain for a few days. There are no trees to provide any shade so you might wish to bring beach umbrellas too.
