We have just returned from an amazing weekend at Belmont House. We were 17 girls and the house was everything we could have asked for - the photos don't really do it justice as it has been done up beautifully. It was great to have so many bathrooms, the communal areas downstairs were large and very well equipped and we made use of the gas BBQ on the lovely large patio in the garden. Morgan was so helpful at every stage, from initial enquiry to unpacking our Sainsbury's delivery when it arrived before we did. The homemade cake that was waiting for us was also a welcome treat! All in all a perfect weekend and great location - thank you!

“Beautiful family holiday rental”
Reviewed 8 July 2014 for a stay in March 2014

Perfect location for a weekend together with our entire extended family. Plenty of bedrooms and living/eating space and all beautifully maintained. Plus there's the Peak District and some great family pubs right on the doorstep.

We stayed as a group of 10 adult friends, with 3 other friends and family visiting. The property was booked as it consistently had 5* on Trip Advisor, and was what we were looking for. We wanted somewhere large enough to accommodate the group, in comfort, with plenty of space. We wanted en suite facilities, and enough rooms to accommodate people doing different things for relaxation. There are three reception rooms downstairs, including the large kitchen, which has a sofa at one end.We were attracted by the central location within the Peak District. We enjoyed being able to walk onto the hills straight from the house, and being able to use the station just down the road.(Trans Pennine railway). The village had amenities, eg two pubs, Post Office including small store selling newspapers etc, with cash point.
The property was spotlessly clean, and freshly decorated. The rooms were spacious, and the beds comfortable. There was plenty of kitchen equipment, with large piles of crockery, masses of mugs, large dishwaher etc. The property was made homely by fresh flowers, with a welcoming huge complimentary chocolate cake, made by Julie, a local farmer's daughter who does Tray Bakes. For £40 we had a delicious steak and ale pie, crammed with chunks of tasty organic beef, and lovely homemade pastry.
This is a beautiful property, both inside, and having lovely views over the hills from the large back garden, with ample parking in the front.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. We would all like to return. We had a really lovely holiday.

What a wonderful, well placed, well kept and gorgeous house. We spent a fabulous Easter weekend at Belmont house for a Hen weekend away. The house is well placed in the idyllic village of Edale, a walkers paradise, and is easy access by car to Bakewell, Chatsworth and beyond. There is ample parking and a lovely large garden (if it had been warmer I am sure we would have BBQ'd).

The rooms are all beautifully presented and only have the highest quality towels and linen. The kitchen is beautiful (on my list of most envied kicthen's!) and well stocked to enable us to cater for our large group of 14. The dining room and sitting room also have amble seating and I have never seen a guest house so well stocked with DVDs, books and games.

All in all this house is a real gem, and the finishing touches of the local guides, eggs, milk and that amazing cake just wowed us all.

I have stayed with large groups in houses in other parts of the country but Belmont House is now definitely at the top of the list, and even though I am only in Derby I will certainly be looking to go back! (NB the photos really don't do the house justice!)

“Stunningly perfect house and location!”

We stayed here over the Easter Break, a group of 14 of us on a hen weekend.

This really is a beautiful and stunning house. When we arrived we found it fully equipped for a perfect stay. We were all very surprised but grateful to receive the weekend.

Upon arrival we found the house to be immaculate. A chocolate cake, left in the kitchen was gratefully received by everyone and, this was enjoyed throughout the weekend. We had arranged for shopping to be delivered later that evening but in the meantime were able to enjoy a drink as Milk was also provided.

The house is really spacious and nearly all the bedrooms have en suites which is great. Rooms are of a good size and you don't feel cramped at all and, for two nights there were 3 of us sleeping in our room.

The kitchen is lovely. Large oven, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and plenty of cupboard space to keep all your food etc. Plenty of cutlery, mugs, plates saucepans etc so you don't need to worry about bringing anything! We had a roast dinner on the Sunday and there was more than enough crockery to enable this to be cooked.

A stunning garden at the back with BBQ if you have nice weather and overlooks the absolutely stunning scenery. Belmont House is perfectly situated for all the sights and walks in this area. I would definitely book to stay here again and would also recommend it to anyone wanting a lovely is really well presented, with a stunning garden and perfectly situated for all the sites and stunning scenery in this beautiful area.

I would definitely book again and thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely scenic getaway.
