This is a lovely place that has been converted from the old cinema. The rooms provide all the basic amenities and the bed was very comfortable. A continental breakfast (toast and cereal) was provided in the room so you didn't have to wait for the restaurant to open in the morning. The evening menu at the restaurant provides standard pub fare and was reasonably priced. We received a very large serving and the meal was well cooked and very tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our evening at the Federal Inn.

Modern clean facilities in a heritage 2 story restored picture theatre and excellent hosts- Shane & Rachael, all add up to a quality experience. We arrived at dusk after a long tiring drive and car problems that meant we could go no further that day. The Federal Inn was a welcome sight with 6 air-con (reverse cycle- it gets cold in Mt perry) motel rooms, a bar & resturarant. When Shane found out we had car problems, he went out of his way to make us welcome. he is also an art collector and the dining room walls are covered in paintings, not your average decor!

Room Tip: All rooms are great with outdoor access to a small private smoking deck in lovely gardens

We had lunch and came back for dinner at the Federal Inn. The owners, Shane and Rachael made us so welcome at lunch that we came back for dinner. I can recommend the pizza. Shane had just installed a new pizza oven that we had a tour of because we remarked on the excellent quality of his dish. This is a very small mining town that is a gem. The hotel has 6 rooms plus the bar and restaurant. If you are ever in the area, don't miss this.
