Once upon a time there was a very popular Persian restaurant called Zan's. It closed, but a new and even nicer restaurant called Basil was born in the same place. The two owners are cousins, and they both know how to combine delicate exotic Middle Eastern spices in a most delightful way. The restaurant is very pretty and has tables outside in front and in back. The garden in the back has a riot of flowers. The service is extremely friendly and attentive and we had a long conversation with the lovely owner. A complimentary focaccia bread whetted our appetites, but best of all, we all had the Zeresh Polo with basmati rice which was outstanding!
