I loved Mae Sariang for it's sleepy vibe with relatively few tourists and this guesthouse seemed to sum up the feel of the town for me.
I stayed in an a/c room with a gorgeous view of the river and fields and hills beyond from the terrace right outside. The room was quite small but had a decent sized bed, a big fridge, a/c, fan, table with stools and TV. There was also an en-suite shower room. The shower room was a little annoying as there is no separate shower cubicle so the entire floor gets wet and you can see that the fairly cheap and quick construction won't make old bones - particularly in the bathroom. However, for now, it's a good find and very cheap. Breakfast needs work, but you can eat a full cooked breakfast at Sawadee Restaurant just down the road.
As a bonus, Mr Salawin's tours are based at this Guesthouse. He is a lovely man and offers a good selectionMore
