If you want to visit the amazing and unique Boribudur temple, just come here, do the sunrise visit with their complimentary shuttle bus and then come back ti the resort, enjoy a pantagruelic breakfast and just let them pamper and love you. This fantastic resort of only 8 Joglos is a magnificent place iut if the normal busy traffic and chaos that in Indonesia is now almost everywhere. Food, accomodation, service and athmosphere all is outstanding. Really loved it

The cottages are very beautiful, quiet, the bed is comfortable, bathroom is huge , in original style, everything very clean. The pool and the decorations are really nice. They make also good Schnitzel and delicious Beef Satay and Gado Gado.
Beautiful places are all over the world, what makes this place special is his staff. Wonderful people who treat you friendly and much more than kind. A service like that I've experienced not too often and not in many places.

The resort is very small and there are not many places around to visit except Borobudur which is awesome! Suggest spend maximum 2 nights in Magelang where the resort is located.
Resort staff are very friendly and helpful. The bungalow is compact and rustic. Resort will provide complimentary transfer to Borobudur. 2 timings - 4.30AM for sunrise and 7.30AM. No restaurant around the resort so all the meals have to be taken at the resort.

We stayed for 3 nights this past February. The hotel is super quiet, and very well located if your interest is in going to Borobudur Temple for the spectacular sunrise viewing experience (which is totally worth doing). The general quality of the hotel and room construction, bedding and furnishings is all very good. Water supply for showers—couldn't be better.

The hotel food service is very good (well prepared healthy food, great service in a nice setting).

The hotel also provided exceptional car and driver services at market prices (~$40 for ~10 hours). The drivers were all conversant in English and knew how to get to anywhere in Java we wanted to go.

Otherwise the hotel a bit far if you plan to head into and out of the center of Yogyakarta and back to Borobudur every day.

For anyone traveling and wishing to hike around the Borobudur Temple area, this is a good choice.

Anywhere that has a bungalow for 2, and a maximum of 20-30 guests, I'm in...

Just 3k from the majestic Candi Borobudur, easy walking distance..
Amata Resort is definitely worth 2 nights...
The staff, pleasant, happy and there at your needs...
The pool is relaxing, the food fantastic...
Close to neighbouring local fair...

Charming, chic, with a touch of boutique..

Perfect for couples and family.....

You need to look no further...

We loved this resort! The staff were so friendly and attentive. Our room was very nice, and we were there for our honeymoon so they decorated it when we arrived and gave us a honeymoon cake. The pool was beautiful and the whole place lit up like a secret garden at night. Loved it here!
