Stayed at the desert iris hotel this weekend for a big family celebration. Rooms are not super luxurious but very nice, very spacious and comfortable with all amenities in the bathroom. The front desk is very helpful should you forget a toiletry item (we did!), the breakfast was lavish and the buffet at mealtimes was plentiful and the food excellent. The swimming pool area was comfortable with sunloungers and pool towels.

We came to stay one night but we run away after couple of hours.
The room really miserable, dirty and small. With two smelly carpets and shower with mosquitos.
When we booked they call it a junior suite...I don’t understand how they can say such a thing...
The employees very unkind and rough.
We’ve never felt such uncomfortable all around Israel.

Sorry to say that it was less then we expected. We paid the same amount for 2 rooms with breakfast as a 5 star hotel in the Dead Sea. The staff were really nice. But the pool was closed when we came ( at 16.00) and when we left ( 1100 in the morning), so that was a bummer. Especially because we asked beforehand if the pool was heated! It was one of the reasons we booked. Also breakfast was not up to the usual Israeli standard of a hotel. For 200 dollars a night, I expect much more than we got.

Weve stayed here for Hanukkah weekend, three families with children age 1-10
The suites are very spacious, we got a 2 rooms suite which feet the 6 of us easily. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The room area was very quiet.

The food is ok, modest variety but mostly tastey.

There is a lot to see within 20 min drive you can enjoy hikes, ben gurions home in sdeah boker etc...

All in all we enjoyed our stay, the only down point is the price which is a bit to high for this standard.

I like small hotels like this one. It looks new, really clean, very friendly and helpful staff. If you like hiking there are many trails in the area The solitude of the desert around you is remarkable.
