It has a great location where you can have drinks and watch the view of the tuscan countryside. Although it has a small menu, we really enjoyed what we had ordered. We had burrata with tomatoes and prosciutto, and a pecorino cheese platter that comes with honey and pears. We also had a sensational stewed beef with black peppercorn. It was full of flavour and was very tender. One of the best beef dishes I enjoyed in my tour in Italy. The service was excellent too.

What a wonderful spot for a quick bite with an amazing view. Enjoyed looking out at the sunset while having a drink and fabulous appetizers. Don't let the size of the place fool you. The food is magnificent.

No reservation, walked in and sat at an outdoor table with a wonderful view across the valley to Pienza. Wonderful warm service and a simple menu of local soups, salads, antipasto, and unique main course dishes. We had two local wines, a bowl of well spiced tomato, bread and basil soup and beef stewed in red wine and whole black peppercorn with bread and a fine salad. Goodness abounds. No airs or pretense, good food, service, views and price. Under $35. Will be back

We were so relieved to find such a nice spot after the dreadful overpriced tourist food we'd had in Sienna the night before. Simple, fresh and delicious the food was a delight. We didn't feel pressured to have the series of courses which seems to be the way in most Italian restaurants, we just had a relaxed meal with a lovely bottle of wine overlooking the valley. Bliss!

En route to La Foce, we decided to stop in our favourite village in the Val D'Orcia. A table was quickly organised by the wonderful Giacomo, under the shade of a tree with a breathtaking view towards Pienza. The menu has a vast selection of healthy and light dishes, just what is needed in the heat of summer. We enjoyed the fresh burrata and prosciutto, the salad with orange, fennel, rocket and goats cheese and our favourite anchovies in a pesto sauce. We could not resist the locally made gelato, and the watermelon was the best. As regular tuscan visitors, we highly recommend this simple but authentic bar. Giacomo is a great host!
