We came here from a wonderful place in Rorkes drift, desperately hoping it would compare, it did. The jaw dropping view from the infinity pool is worth every penny. Great staff and owner. Good, well stocked bar on the patio, perfect to take in the majesty of the mountain range and it's ever changing moods. Evening meals were great as were the breakfasts. Over all really great value for money and after driving around the area, we reckon it has the best views.

This is an excellent spot for a few days rest or a romantic getaway. Stunning views. The food was excellent. The hospitality was exceptional. The lodge is close to many attractions such as the raptor center and the Drakensberg boys choir. I would really recommend this to any traveler.

Beautifully furnished lodge with an old world charm without pretense. Every nook and corner is special and inviting. The rooms are quaint and the bathrooms particularly comfortable with a bath tub and huge shower. The view from the bedroom (and bed!) and downstairs veranda is spectacular on a clear day. On a misty day it looks fairy tale-like, especially if it is green as it was when we visited. The staff is friendly, professional and helpful. The atmosphere is intimate and we enjoyed the company of other guests and the manageress, Mads. The food was super. Our stay was very special and we highly recommend this establishment.

We stayed at Inkungu Lodge for 3 nights and have to say it was amazing. The staff were wonderful, Madeleine was an absolute star, so friendly and accommodating. From Henry the barman to Princess in the dining room and of course the great chef who made such lovely food made our stay worth every minute. The view of the mountains from our room was spectacular and those sunsets are a dream come true. Tranquility at its best. The decor in the lodge really makes it cozy and relaxing with lots of lounges to spend peaceful time. Very clean and homely. Amazing time.

From the moment we were welcomed by Kerry we felt very comfortable and at home in our magnificent 'honeymoon suite'. The service was faultless and the food fantastic. We would definitely recommend the lodge to anyone looking for something a little bit more special than the norm. Close enough to shops and a decent road to get there. The bed was even more comfy than our own at home. We really could have stayed longer.Thank you Kerry and Anton for a wonderful stay!

Room Tip: The honeymoon suite has the larger bed and plenty of space with a small bar and fridge
