The accommodation is exactly as depicted in the photos - cosy chalet style in a beautiful village. Comfortable beds, good bed linen and plenty of pillows. Comfy lounge, nice big dining table and plenty of wardrobe space. Salardu is a great location and only 5 mins to the ski fields.
The Val d'Aran is a real highlight of our two month holiday in Europe.
Although we got a little lost try to find the address - it was all worth it!
Oriol was away but we were given a very warm welcome by Mercedes - who spoke very little English and we spoke very little Spanish. But it was all part of the holiday fun and with the help of a translation App were able to understand each other : )
We loved the village of Salardu and would recommend to those looking for the authentic Pyrenees adventure - make sure to dine at Restaurante Eth Bot. Great atmosphere, delicious food and great choice of wines.
Warm friendly people and there was lots to enjoy and explore when we weren't skiing.
The skiing here would rival some of the best in the world and Spring Skiing was a real treat. No crowds, no queues, lots of warm sunshine and long runs that went on forever.
Just a comment that may assist travellers - purchase all your supplies before you arrive. We arrived late on a Sunday and the small supermarket in Salardu was closed. We suggest to stop in Vielha on the way in and stock up.
We are from Australia and will definitely return again :-)
