For the kiddywinkles we have a selection of toys to keep them amused, leaving mums and dads peace to enjoy the fabulous freshly ground coffee, range of teas and food on offer. Our menu includes breakfasts, snacks, lunches, selection of cakes. There are gluten free and dairy free options and hot pies. Sit in and takeaway. Outside catering also available. Venue can be used in the evening for private functions. Although we don't have a licence we do allow customers to bring their own bottle if at a private function and only if we are providing the catering. We provide outside catering for meetings, training days, funersls etc

Had lunch here while holidaying at Rosemarkie. Fantastic little family friendly cafe with a great menu of lots of freshly made food. From breakfast to lunch to cakes and snacks, it has a great choice of good value, crowd pleasing food. There are high chairs, a kids menu and a little garden space outside for little ones to run around. Returned here several times as it catered so well for our whole family, from an 18mth old to 76 year olds! Highly recommended!

Staff were very friendly with nice food. Liked the area out back with bowls for dogs and play area for kids.

Having been for a short walk in Fairy Glen with my partner - sounds surreal I know - refreshments were called for. A short drive away was Fortrose Cafe. Drinks and food were ordered at the counter and the order was taken by a friendly and efficient member of staff. All were consumed with relish in a welcoming and bustling environment. During an acceptable wait for the food pictures and photos on display could be admired and certain notices brought a smile to the lips. If you require 'refuelling' then this is the place for you!

... If not the highlands!

Makes a nice change from all the tourist hot spots where any cup of coffee tastes like warm water with milk.

Had a good lunch there too and came back for cake the next day. Delicious for all of us.

The staff is friendly and quite patient with the non- native speakers. Been there with 2 little kids and did not feel unwelcome. If the weather was better we could have tried the little play area in the garden!

Lovely place, highly recommend.

I have been now to the Fortrose Cafe a few times and loved it every time! The cafe itself is lovely bright and clean with quirky bits like a sign joking (or maybe not!) that any wild children running about will be given a shot of expresso, the food is fresh and seriously yummy! There is no wifi so everyone was talking to each other (nice change!) and there is a fab space outside for kids to play. Brilliant for both snack/lunch, cakes and meals and the staff were all smiley and friendly. The only suggestion I would make would be to ensure when welcomed that it is explained to customers how the cafe works; such as ordering at the desk and where to find the cutlery etc.
