The building is elegant, the swiming pool a splendide place. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Hotel employees are nice and helpful. And for the price of a regulare hotel, you get to spleep in a real Italian Palace

The place looks great, it's bigger than the rest of the hotels there. The prize is higher for want you can expect.
The rooms are ok, buy too noisy, you could hear all time the flush of the toilets, the conversations of the people in other rooms. The bathroom was uncomfortable, too small. The breakfast was one of the top things there and of course the view was great but I've been in other hotels cheaper and with the same view.

Excellent location, walkable to everything you need, and beautiful view from our room! It was a very large room, comfortable bed. Large windows opened to give a great view of the beach across the street. It's a beautiful hotel, and loved walking out the door to the beach, and hearing the ocean waves crashing.Good and very plentiful breakfast

Room tip: get a room with a sea view!

We were switched to this hotel from an original booking which closed. There, I can't comment on the value. The room was great with amazing Sea view. It was clean with adequate size. Breakfast was good but not great. I have had much better in Europe. The location is perfect.

This is a four star hotel right and proper - not three, not five. It is just across the road from the beach, directly adjacent to the old town with lots of eateries, plus it has a decent size pool (almost 25 metres, I think). Service is very friendly. The breakfast buffet is decent enough, although the scrambled eggs looked rather diluted and the fruit juice is concentrate rather than fresh.
We wanted to unwind by the sea (and get away from the city heat) and it did the job perfectly. Like many of Italy's beaches, Arenzano too is infested with "stabilimenti" - private beach clubs which charge around 40 euros per day for a sun bed and parasol and crucially (and illegally) try to prevent access to the beach for people who just want to swim. That means lots of people crowd into the tiny remaining "spiaggia libera" ("free beach"), which is typically a narrow, nasty affair with grey, rocky sand. So too here. The draw with the Arenzano Grand is that you can base yourself by the hotel pool, hop across the road for a nice salt-water swim and then shower and stretch out by the pool again.
I would definitely recommend a sea view room, although there is a nice terrace with a view on the first floor, if you want to save some money.

Room tip: The hotel has 3 floors - our sea view on the 2nd floor was good. 3rd may be better, but may have obstructed views due to the palm fronds.
