Description: Located at National Harbor The Walrus Oyster & Ale House prides itself on serving the finest domestic seafood and freshly shucked oysters available. Moderately priced and casual in approach, guests enjoy spectacular views of the Potomac River and Old Town Alexandria from the heart of the National Harbor. The name, The Walrus Oyster & Ale House, is inspired by the Lewis Carroll poem The Walrus and The Carpenter. "O, Oysters, said the Carpenter, You've had a pleasant run! Shall we be trotting home again? But answer came there none And this was scarcely odd, because They'd eaten every one." - Lewis Carroll

Walking by and smell from this restaurant brought me in. Sat at bar and had crab cake sandwich which was delicious. Bar tender was friendly.

A group of 8 of us went to eat dinner here and were excited as some of the group had went in 2016 and raved about it. We were extremely disappointed in our meal. The only thing decent were the cheddar biscuits and raw oysters. The Sangria (house special) was awful, the crab/lobster roll was fishy and fried food was rather bland. With avg being 30$/PP it is not worth it. There are so many better food options in National Harbor. The server was barely attentive to any of our needs and if he would've noticed he took away alot of 1/2 eaten entrees. This group will NOT be back

Very good food and generous pours on mixed drinks, but best attribute is the service. I have been here each of last two years and it has been excellent both times. Such friendly servers that it adds to the meal experience.

Food is good but service is better.

Sceptical at first but don't worry. Lobster & crab roll, crab cake were very good. Bloody Mary was just right. Good portion sizes. Don't miss the crab dip appetizer.

My son took my husband & I here for Mother's day. I had the scallops, which I normally love, but these had some type of spice on them, and too much for me. It seemed that everything, including vegetables had spice on them. It's in a nice location and our server was very friendly & attentive but I don't think I'd go back because of all the spice. And it wasn't cheap, I felt bad that our son paid so much for meals that we didn't really enjoy.
