“Italian hospitality - and a wonderful quite place with fantastic views”
Reviewed 1 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

This September we again stayed at La Macina di Bettona. In 2012 by accident we stumbled over this marvelous place, La Macina di Bettona. After a few days here, we decided this is a place we MUST come back to - and now for the 9th year in a row we were back for another 2 weeks. We very much appreciate the hospitality presented by Roberto and his wonderful family, who really sees to that all guests feels comfortable and that the area is nice and tidy. And there are so many interesting places to visit within short distances. We have a few "must visit" places like a couple of high end wineries, the medieval towns of Bevagna and Spello, a visit with the mini metro to Perugia, the nuns morning hymn at Santa Chiara in Assissi and an afternoon prosecco at the town hall square up the hill in Bettona (a 20 min. walk up before dinner). This is definitely a place we can highly recommend - though more guests would increase the competition for the apartment :-)

Very nice apartment with everything you need for a little family. The location is stunning and the view from the (super clean!) pool is fantastic. Staff is extremely helpful and the athmosphere is warm and friendly.

“A relaxing rural setting, very picturesque”
Reviewed 2 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

I stayed in the Pendolino apartment with my husband. My family stayed in the Agogia apartment upstairs.

The apartment is small but perfect for 2 people to stay and use as a base. Due to the location you would defintely have to hire a car to get to the apartment and different places. We spent alot of time by the pool. When we arrived the jacuzzi wasn't set up but we didn't miss it as the pool was lovely.

It's a place to get away and recharge your batteries. The views are absolutely stunning from the pool - the apartments overlook the valley and you can see Assisi. I would recommend it for people who want to get away from it all.

We went in early June and had one or two days of thunderstorms but the rest of the week was glorious sunshine. I wouldn't say you could stay in the apartment all the time - it is more of a base rather than somewhere to hang out. We hardly spent any time in there as the pool was so nice to sit and relax by.

Liz and Roberto are really lovely. If you need anything Liz is quick to give you the information you need.
