Truly delicious Michelin star restaurant that will surprise you with great intepreations of the traditional Sicilian cuisine. Must try the octopus starter (served in a bed of mash with capers pine nuts and tomatoes), the tagliolini with mazzancolle (to die for) and one of the great desserts. Happily the restaurant had a glass of Amara as a digestif. Will surely come back again.

Thank Francesco S

Four of us recently had lunch here on the recommendation of a friend who lives in Sicily. The welcome was very warm and friendly and the part of the restaurant in which we were seated was very pleasant. As well as their a la carte menu they offer a variety of set menus including a "business lunch" which changes daily. For a restaurant of this quality it came as a surprise that the young lady serving us had no idea what was on the business lunch menu. Having ascertained what was on offer some of us had the lunch menu others ordered a la carte.

The amuse was delicious but sadly the rest of the food did not live up to expectations. Lamb was very fatty (being Welsh we are very critical of lamb!) and fish portions very small.

Overall not a bad experience but could have been much better.

Made a reservation at the recommendation of my guide. Reviews looked pretty good, so thought we'd try it. Took a cab from our hotel which is on the outskirts of town to the center square. cab let us out and directed us to the restaurant down a beautiful 50 + stone stairway to a tiny lane. Tucked in amongst 17th century church, a barber shop, hanging laundry and locals walking was a gem of a restaurant.
My husband and I had one of the best meals we've ever had, the best so far in Sicily.
Requested a mixed salad that was not on the menu, no problem, perfect salad.
First came a gift appetizer from the chef- puréed pumpkin foam with a fried fish ball, tasty,
Then we split a prime plata- cheese ravioli with veal and a mushroom sauce, marvelous,
Then I got the black pork, stuffed, on a bed of sautéed spinach, roasted tomatoes and olives, while my husband had the tuna entree. Both entrees were wonderful, accompanied by a bread selection, Primo olive oil and a bottle of Sicilain cab. I capped it off with a sweet dessert wine. Still cannot believe how good every bite was. You should go out of your way to come here.

Friendly and efficient service. Good selection of wines and a fine choice of different types of bread. In my opinion, the best restaurant in the city and the prices are very reasonable for such high quality cooking.
