I have been to Paradise a couple of times, within a week. First time was an overnight stay, and a couple of nights three days later after field work out of Juba. I got a shipping container per-fab room with spiral staircases. Equipped with air con and WiFi, and a refregirator! I could work at the desk and catch up on global news from the TV and even had a relaxing shower that made the Juba heat bearable.
My travel mates had ordered chicken with steamed rice and platter of vegetables at the rooftop restaurant, because I was late but after sampling the sizzling beef on a bed of veggies and the best thick sauce I ever had, I would recommend that to anyone. There was talk though, of a heavenly pork dish that seemed to be always sold out. I am hoping to finally taste that next time.
Breakfast was a buffet, consisting of fruit (The juicy kind) cereal, sausage and yummy beans.
The flexible staff even hooked us up with late checkout and and whipped up some breakfast for my friends who had slept i and missed the regular dining hours!
The place is a tad dog eared compared to other places I have been but an exiting secure alternative that I could always go back to, If they left the power on in the wee hours of the night as well.More
