Nice little resort steeped in history. We holidayed as the locals do..

The suite was very nice, albeit a bit dated (especially the toilet eww).. but we had a great view of the lake on a generous balcony. The staff were extremely nice however adding that local flare to our experience as was reflected in their home style dining approach with lots of local ingredients favoured. A walk on to the jetty was lovely to the little cafe at the end overlooking the lighthouse and beyond, Overall a nice place to stay...

Room Tip: Ask for the superior rooms if you want a balcony view of the lake

Though we were booked to Haus Attila, we were informed by the common reception for Seewirt and Attila that we stay in Seewirt. Young lady at the reception had no idea why we do not get original booking...
Hotel is located in the city center just on the bank of the lake. However, if you want to go to the beach, you have to buy a beach ticket anyway (at least short time guests). Hotel is already worn - out, somehow equipped in an outdated style. As we were staying only one night, we took cheaper rooms without lake view. These rooms were really really small, staying there longer than one night would not be nice. Breakfast was very good, check - out was fast and smooth.

I have been to much better 3 star hotels, this is not a 4 star hotel unless they have a different rating system in Austria. The rooms are outdated and old, it was not properly cleaned, there was hair in the bathroom. They put a bathrobe but no paper slippers. Nice lake view and good staff in the restaurant. Price value was not good.

Hotel is mostly pretty good and location is great but there are a few things you need to consider if visiting.

Take care otherwise you will be eaten alive by the mozzies !

The shower is OK but running water through the sink tap was very slow.

Wifi is OK in main downstairs areas but not in the rooms.

Checkout is a complete disaster. Only one position and totally inadequate systems leading to unacceptably long waits; no fun when you're with a big group or catch the rush.
