“Great cottage”
Reviewed 17 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Really comfortable and clean cottage. Fully equipped. We stayed for a weekend while visiting family - but could have stayed much longer. Brenda and Tom are brilliant hosts too. Will definitely be visiting again.

“Bright spacious fantastic cottage in a super location”
Reviewed 17 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

I chose this cottage as a base to visit the many National Trust properties in the area. This cottage really delivered, a wonderful conversion, really well kitted out, a lovely place to return to at the end of your day. Fantastic comfy beds, the bathrooms and kitchen very well equipped, spotless and looks brand new. The location really worked, there are so many great things to do within 20 minutes' drive. If you are into country pubs there are plenty to choose from. Brenda is very warm and friendly and my son loved meeting the lambs thank you.
Would recommend 100% and would return, still many more things in the area we did not get round to.

“Beautiful renovation, immaculately presented”
Reviewed 4 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Swallows Barn was perfect for a short break with my elderly parents. The position is ideal for easy access to three counties and there is plenty of interest nearby. No expense has been spared in the renovation of this cosy cottage and I am sure it would be a good spot for a break at any time of the year.

Liked best: It felt like home the minute we walked in.
Liked least: I personally found the busy road difficult but I live in a spot where you can hear a pin drop at night!

“Bliss in beautiful area”
Reviewed 20 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

The swallows stayed just long enough to say goodbye and left us in a very comfortable, well equipped barn conversion, with 2 en-suites, TV in all rooms, very easy to use appliances, wood burner - not that we needed it, it was so cosy in warm September sunshine.
New to the area we discovered joy at every corner, including the local canal and locks to wander along. Jodrell Bank was awesome, Flash the highest UK village and the surrounding heather moors were all superb. Brenda the owner was especially kind and on hand to rescue us when we got locked in a car park...she literally went the extra mile, and always with a smile. We hope to be back..if she will have us!
