Fantastic holiday

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 13 Apr 2018via mobile
Just returned from a week at this hotel our 2nd visit and didn't disappoint. Friendly clean hotel our group age ranged from 6 to 65 and catered for all. The food was lovely and catered for all requirements I'm veggie and have a fussy 6 year old. As it was the beginning of the season all restaurants weren't open. No having to get up early for sun beds always available and pool hand there to help too. Would recommend and will return

We booked a break here with secret escapes, to have just that, a secret escape to hide from the world during my birthday week ...

It was super cheap , in fact, it was cheaper to go on the all inclusive than it was to book privately for the week.

Not intending to use the all inclusive but to use the hotel simply as a base to tour the area we were more than happy..

Our room was ideally situated with a wonderful balcony and views of a fabulous sunset every evening.

Ok - one thing we do know about Cyprus, always judge each hotel at least one start below the category it is in - and for the tiredness of the rooms on this holiday this also applies - but it seems so petty to judge the break by this, the rooms were clean, the linen changed daily, the room a good size with somewhere for us Bothe to sit comfortably - the balcony ideal - ok so the bathroom was tired, there was a build of limescale and as with most ancient bathrooms, because of the humidity a small patch of mildewy mound in hard to reach areas - but we paid £550 each for a week, with flights, al linclusive !!! what do we expect ?

The food was very good, there was a good choice, they had really tried with the allergens , I am gluten free so this is important BUT word of warning, they really hadn't got this spot on so beware and use your sense.

The drinks we drinkable - we chose most of the time to have premium brands but there was nothing really wrong with the local gin or rum or brandy etc- it is just our taste to have what we like and not just what is free..

The staff were fantastic and very helpful, the grounds very well maintained and the pool beautiful..

Would I recommend - for Pahpos area, yes ...

So like many travellers, I checked out the reviews of this hotel prior to staying. The reviews were mixed, but my partner and I had already booked it as a part of an All Inclusive Package. I wanted to leave what I deem to be an honest review for those who do the same as me, checking the reviews beforehand.

We went at the end of March, where the hotel was still busy, however not as much as you would expect mid season. The staff were all extremely attentive. This includes on check-in, where our bags were offered to be taken to our room; the bar staff who work tirelessly to ensure you have a drink in the evening; the restaurant staff and even the animation team. We were pleasantly surprised, as we did not expect this level of service from some of the previous reviews.

My partner and I did not travel with children, however the Animation Team made sure to include us despite this. They made sure to greet us whenever they saw us, offered us the opportunity to join in with their activities and remembered us, despite having many other guests to also remember. They genuinely brought a smile to our faces whenever we saw them. You can tell they really enjoy their job and they deserve the recognition. They also run a few of the activities in the evening, such as Karaoke, which was a good laugh.

The evening entertainment is split up in different rooms of the hotel. There is the main bar lounge, where generally atmospheric music is played and guests can just relax. There is the 'nightclub' bar, where each night is different, ranging from dancing to live acts. On one of the nights, we saw the Animation Team nailing the cheorography to PSY's 'Gangnam Style'. In another room is where you can see Belly Dancing, or even take part in the Karaoke. We were also aware of a Bouncy Castle and Films being played for children also during the evening.

The rooms in the hotel are well cleaned and maintained. The decor of the rooms is something mentioned in a lot of previous reviews. No, the rooms are not modernly decorated, or perhaps something expected of a five star hotel, HOWEVER, the rooms are traditional in a sense to the destination, and suit a country where there is minimal rain. My partner and I did not travel to just stay in the hotel room, but we were pleasently suprised and could not have asked for more as it is well equipped as you would expect from any hotel room.

There are a number of restaurants you can dine, and the main restaurants also have different theme nights, so food is varied. I am a picky eater myself, but still managed to find something to my tasting each meal time. If the restaurant for whatever reason is not to your taste, there is a strip full of varying restaurants less than a 5 minute bus ride away (Bus 615 for a 1,50 single ticket). The drinks on offer to All Inclusive guests suprised me, as I did not expect such a wide range. We made the most of this.

My partner and I, would also like to mention Yiannis, the Trainee Manager. He remembered us every day, greeted us, made sure we were happy with our stay and open to suggestions to make it better. After all, without this, the hotel can not improve. Yiannis and his team made our stay and ensured we left with a smile whenever we talked to them.

I think it is safe to say, we would return to this hotel again, if only for the staff, who deserve recognition for all their hard work.

Room tip: Rooms can be some walk away from the Main Reception, however are all easily accessible. I would reccommend a Sea View Room if Possible.

Just returned from 1 week stay at the Coral Beach Hotel. 8 members of the family went to celebrate a 50th birthday. Wow what a place. Hotel always clean & tidy, all staff friendly and extremely helpful, especially Yiannis (trainee manager) who looked after us very well, even personally blowing up the ballooons for our celebration to make sure we had the perfect evening. Great choice of food always piping hot. Pool staff were very attentive. Will certainly return and recomment to friends.

Room tip: Corner suites are large & sunny

Currently staying at Coral Beach hotel for a week. Communal areas are lovely and well maintained however rooms are very tired and in need of modernisation. The beds however are fantastic and you’ll be sure to have a great sleep!!!

Entertainment program is really poor with not much to do of an evening other than sit in the lobby and listen to the same old....

Food is average if you like eating the same thing day in day out - not very inspiring and disappointing for the price

Staff are generally ok but not really setting the world alight for excellent customer service or nominations for any awards (they don’t even have national smile at guests day)

Advice: get out of the hotel and into Paphos if you want entertainment and good restaurants. Bring a book (or six) if you’re planning on staying at the hotel for the duration.

Advice to TUI: sort your ratings (and your pricing) out as this is a 3 star as opposed to 5 star. Quite misleading and way over priced in comparison to other hotels on the island.

Summary: the hotel is ok for a week, don’t expect too much, and have a plan to break up the holiday if the hotel isn’t your thing.
