So like many travellers, I checked out the reviews of this hotel prior to staying. The reviews were mixed, but my partner and I had already booked it as a part of an All Inclusive Package. I wanted to leave what I deem to be an honest review for those who do the same as me, checking the reviews beforehand.
We went at the end of March, where the hotel was still busy, however not as much as you would expect mid season. The staff were all extremely attentive. This includes on check-in, where our bags were offered to be taken to our room; the bar staff who work tirelessly to ensure you have a drink in the evening; the restaurant staff and even the animation team. We were pleasantly surprised, as we did not expect this level of service from some of the previous reviews.
My partner and I did not travel with children, however the Animation Team made sure to include us despite this. They made sure to greet us whenever they saw us, offered us the opportunity to join in with their activities and remembered us, despite having many other guests to also remember. They genuinely brought a smile to our faces whenever we saw them. You can tell they really enjoy their job and they deserve the recognition. They also run a few of the activities in the evening, such as Karaoke, which was a good laugh.
The evening entertainment is split up in different rooms of the hotel. There is the main bar lounge, where generally atmospheric music is played and guests can just relax. There is the 'nightclub' bar, where each night is different, ranging from dancing to live acts. On one of the nights, we saw the Animation Team nailing the cheorography to PSY's 'Gangnam Style'. In another room is where you can see Belly Dancing, or even take part in the Karaoke. We were also aware of a Bouncy Castle and Films being played for children also during the evening.
The rooms in the hotel are well cleaned and maintained. The decor of the rooms is something mentioned in a lot of previous reviews. No, the rooms are not modernly decorated, or perhaps something expected of a five star hotel, HOWEVER, the rooms are traditional in a sense to the destination, and suit a country where there is minimal rain. My partner and I did not travel to just stay in the hotel room, but we were pleasently suprised and could not have asked for more as it is well equipped as you would expect from any hotel room.
There are a number of restaurants you can dine, and the main restaurants also have different theme nights, so food is varied. I am a picky eater myself, but still managed to find something to my tasting each meal time. If the restaurant for whatever reason is not to your taste, there is a strip full of varying restaurants less than a 5 minute bus ride away (Bus 615 for a 1,50 single ticket). The drinks on offer to All Inclusive guests suprised me, as I did not expect such a wide range. We made the most of this.
My partner and I, would also like to mention Yiannis, the Trainee Manager. He remembered us every day, greeted us, made sure we were happy with our stay and open to suggestions to make it better. After all, without this, the hotel can not improve. Yiannis and his team made our stay and ensured we left with a smile whenever we talked to them.
I think it is safe to say, we would return to this hotel again, if only for the staff, who deserve recognition for all their hard work.
