Perfect, tranquil, close to the beach with colourful Greek character. It has a pretty pool and terrace, surrounded by well attended plants. A lovely owner and the location is ideal.

“A truly special cottage”

This was the second time we had rented Nicoletta and it won't be the last. The cottage is secluded and private, with a charming garden, yet within 10 minutes walking distance to a small beach with clear, turquoise water and, in the opposite direction to Loggos, for groceries, fresh bread and croissants and tavernas galore. Yes, you need a stout pair of sandals for the fairly rough tracks and be a bit nippy on your feet but it's so much nicer than driving around in a car, even though you can easily hire a car if you want to.
We spent hours sitting outside the house in the shade of the beautiful bougainvilleas or beside the pool.
When you buy your groceries in Loggos, the bags arrive on the handlebars of a moped an hour or so later for no extra charge!

“Perfect villa for couple with a baby”
Reviewed 11 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

The photos of this villa do not do it justice: the property itself is a beautiful old Greek cottage which gorgeous thick walls keeping it cool during the heat of the day; the gardens are immaculate and filled with rosemary bushes, orange trees, aloe vera as well as an arrestingly beautiful pink borgainville arbour which provides shade for one (!) of the outside dining tables you can use for your meals. The pool is safe for splashing about with the kids with no hidden deep end and steps which even our 1 year old could climb out from, and (what they don't tell you) a beautiful sea view from the pool terrace which looks down onto the villa from above.

We noted the complaint about the lack of bbq before we went so, crazy I know, asked for one to be installed and, guess what, it was there when we arrived. We also thought there was a tv so we could watch the world cup but on arrival nothing was there - we asked again and a brand, new digital tv was installed the same day. Nothing was too difficult for our wonderful host Katina who kept the place spotless and was a joy to see on the occasions our paths overlapped.

We had a car and can't imagine it would have been too much fun without but there are 3 local beaches in walking distance and the main island bus route passes on the main road 5 mins walk from the house. We loved wandering into Loggos for our evening meal and, when we felt lazy, grabbing a 6 euro cab ride up the hill.

All in all, we had an amazing stay and would definitely go again. I also thought that the villa company missed a trick by not advertising that Katina Studio and Katina Cottage are so close that they could easily be hired by an extended family who wanted to holiday together but have their own private space.

By the way, as far as we were concerned, the lack of internet was bliss.

“Great cottage”
Reviewed 10 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

A great cottage all in all. Very peaceful and elegant. We loved eating out on the patio and reading near the pool.

The pool was nice to have, as the temperature soared. But Paxos is about the ocean, and there were many nice beaches nearby (along with affordable boat rentals). So we took advantage.

We didn`t have a car and that was a mistake. Loggos was a 20 min walk in the heat, and the nearest ATM was a ten euro cab ride away. All the local grocery stores deliver for free though.

The cabin doesn`t have internet and that is a pain. It makes booking and confirming other parts of the trip a hassle, as we had to hike into the village to connect.

My final moan - it would be nice to have a BBQ.

Our host, Christine was friendly and helpful. The housekeeper did a good job (I think she came three times in the week).

“I would happily stay here again.”

Nicolletta Villa was clean, cool and relaxing. The pool is small and they could use a bit less chlorine. It's the kind of pool for cooling off in and relaxing beside but not quite big enough to keep older kids engaged. The villa is only five minutes walk down to a beautiful and rocky beach. The path is however a bit rocky and a bit steep so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who isn't steady on their feet. That being said, it has a sense of being slightly more secluded and I basked in my early morning cups of coffee by the sea with maybe only one or two other people up at the time. Back to the house...it is a 20 minute walk to the village of logos ( with a short it of that being steepish and rockyish and the rest on a small road. The walk itself is stunningly picturesque in parts. It's a bit far to carry groceries but at least one of the local markets will happily deliver within an hour of your purchase. Christine had arranged for basic snacks and groceries for our arrival ( free of charge ) so we had bottled water, a couple of beers and snacks when we got there. Also, we found Christi e to be very available and responsive either to text or phone. Being a Canadian in Italy and Greece over the summer meant that a/c was important to us. It worked well in the living room and the master bedroom. The second bedroom got pretty stuffy but thankfully our 14 yr old son was pretty stoic about it. The ad says its designed only for three people however we also had our twelve year old daughter. They put a cot in the hallway fr her and that worked for both bed comfort and temperature. Overall the kids would have liked Internet and a location closer to town. For e however, the location was perfect.
