Hello All, I must say that the place is incredibly beautiful. It is in a quiet area, very close to the beach, tavernas, supermarkets and has a few beaches around. There is a hair drier, cooking, washing machine, all that you might need. There is also a cleaning lady every day.
Ammos villas was knee of the better hotel I have ever been.!!!!
It is a family hotel very clear ,lovely owners and I'm a very good area .
The sea is 50 metres away.
I suggest that you must go there.....
Stayed for two weeks and had a great time. The villas were peacefully located in an olive grove and were about 150m to the beach and the same distance in the opposite direction to a small supermarket and a well stocked grocer on the main road. About 400m to the village where there were a selection of supermarkets, tourist shops, car hire and some good restaurants. a very green area with good beaches within walking distance and more a short drive away. The apartment was spacious and clean, we had a very large balcony on the first floor with great views and the kitchen was very well equiped and came with an excelent oven and fridge freezer and all necessary pots, crockery and utensills. All the windows were protected with netting to keep out insects and the apartment was cleaned every two days as well as towels, tea towels and bedding being changed. The owners were accessible and attentive to our needs and requests and provided transport to and from the airport. We hired a car from potamius rentals and drove around the island and saw some spectacular scenary and went into zante town where there is a large selection of shops and restaurants and a small beach for a swim, had a great time there. We enjoyed the holiday and would go back again to the same apartments, in our opinion the vassilikos area is the best part of the island. Ruth and Andrew.
The location is relatively good with respect to the sand beaches in the south-east part - 10-15 min of walking. However, a car is necessary for visiting the most famous and lively areas on the island.
The rooms were well equipped and clean, unfortunately, there was more to be wished in the bathrooms. The shower and basin pipes were almost completely blocked with limestone and the shower curtains were dirty and moldy. On top of that, there was low water pressure and, worst of all, on several occasions there was no hot water. The landlady was very kind and fixed the issue when we called her, but just until it happened again on the day after and we had to call her once more. And then a couple of days later there was no hot water in the evening after 10pm... It looks like they were trying to save money on water heating.
On the other hand, there was a cleaning lady who was changing the towels every second day and the bed linen twice a week. She was also loading the washing machine and cleaning the kitchen, which was a bonus we did not expect.
There was also a nice BBQ area providing places for more than 12 people.
Overall, Ammos Villas is a good and spacious place but needs some attention on the wet areas hygiene.
