“None can compare to Olivastri”
Reviewed 20 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We recently stayed at Olivastri – my husband and myself, our daughter, son-in-law and their 2 daughters (3 and 6), and our son and daughter-in-law and their 3½ year old son. We all came to Sardinia to celebrate a friend’s birthday who lives in
Porto Rafael.
Olivastri was heaven for our family. It couldn’t have been more perfect!
It worked beautifully for us – everyone having their own space!

This villa is gorgeous. The architecture so special - we felt special just being able to stay there and experience Sardinia through this magnificent home base.
The layout of the villa is perfect with plenty of room in different spaces and a beautiful garden and lawn. The breezes coming through the house never stopped.
We loved having our private beach just steps down the hill,

The privacy of Olivastri is an added bonus – since you can venture down the hill to the piazzetta and the other beaches and the marina – only 5 minutes away.
There is no way you can match the spectacular view at Olivastri. Our friends in town would come over just to sit in our yard and gaze at the sea and all of the beautiful boats passing by. The sunrises each morning were an added bonus.
We could never stop taking photos as the light changed all throughout the day.

Both the bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely. The kitchen worked perfectly for us and we even cooked out on the grill. Actually, we ate almost every meal outside when we ate at home.

The gardener and housekeeper were there for us – whatever our requests.
They were delightful to have around and couldn’t have been more helpful.
There are plenty of markets and restaurants nearby.

Porto Rafael is a very special place. And Olivastri made it perfect for us.
We highly recommend a stay at Olivastri and our dream is to return one day.

“thank heaven for villa Olivastri”
Reviewed 8 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

An incredibly beautiful, wild, secluded setting and a spectacular and very comfortable villa. We were very happy simply enjoying the place -- going to the little beach, sitting in the garden among the flowers, preparing meals and eating them under the pergola, looking at the sea change color and watching the boats sail by. Sheer bliss. Loved the wild tortoises who came to visit and the mosquito nets that protected us from less desirable visitors.

“Absolute tranquility in a stylish & immaculate Villa with a beach & amazing sea views”

We rented Olivastri in May this year for a special family occasion.
The Villa is not just any old rental, its a much loved family home that every inch is cared for in every aspect.
I work in Interiors and adored all the design details of this classic Sardinian Villa. With its pristine white washed curved walls, and its curved rooms, patio, elevated garden, and roof terrace, its very cool and stylish.

Several people are involved with the ongoing care of the property, and they really do care for it. That attention to detail really comes through when staying and provides a warmth and that sometimes large holiday homes often lack.

Due to the layout of the bedrooms, it was perfect for a large family to share and yet still be private. You can have lively kids at one end and tired Grandparents at the other and everyones happy. The house has many 'zones' to create lovely family moments, such as sharing pizza around the large family dining table next to an open - wonderful.
The position of the house makes the best of the sunlight, with the back terrace flooding with the afternoon sunlight.
The views from the roof are amazing.

On a practical level, the showers are all very good and super hot (sometimes an issue in older properties).
The kids adored the private beach and all the nature, although sensible walking shoes for everyone are a must as its very rustic as natural. We stayed with two 5 year old twins and made sure access to the roof terrace was locked to be safe.

The surrounding area is so beautiful, but if you shopped at the supermarket on day one, then did not leave at all, you still would of had an amazing holiday as everything you need is at the Villa. There's so much more I could say, but in summary, we think we've found a peace of heaven, and we will be going back for sure.
