This will be our third time staying here. We have now sampled both upstairs and downstairs accommodation and our greatest problem next visit around will be which to choose! Both cottages are extremely comfortable with all mod cons, central heating should you need it, and amazing views out towards the Apuan Alps. The upstairs cottage is traditional and has a wonderful log stove should the evenings be chilly. Downstairs is more modern in its decor but equally appealing and relaxing in atmosphere.Nothing is ever too much trouble for Olivia our host, and we don't anticipate ever renting alternative accommodation for as long as we keep scratching that itch that is beautiful Coreglia!!

So glad you found La Casina as enjoyable as La Stalla Romantica: you were our first couple to get engaged here and you really are like family now! We look forward to your next visit: your hot tub with the view awaits.

“Stunning location.”

La Casina is extremely comfortable, very well equipped and full of authentic Italian character & charm, with a stunning view that changes constantly. The village is delightful. Peaceful retreat and great base for exploring the area.

“Couldn't have planned a more perfect honeymoon destination!”
Reviewed 20 June 2016 for a stay in September 2015

Even before we arrived at the cottage, our drive from the airport was just lovely. We chose the scenic drive, avoiding the motorway, and beautiful, green Tuscany was our view all the way. The cottage, attached to the hosts' villa, was a steep drive up into the hills, with absolutely stunning views across a green valley to mountains dotted with tiny villages. Once inside, it was just what we'd hoped for in a honeymoon spot - Cosy living area, very well-equipped kitchen to cook romantic dinners in the evenings, lovely bedroom with double doors overlooking the gorgeous view, small balcony to sit in the sun with Prosecco in the evenings, modern shower room...the list goes on! Our hosts were very keen on feedback on the cottage's facilities/equipment provided, as were amongst their first guests, but we were very pleased to report that every need had been catered for. The local village was a delight, with an old-school grocery store with deli, butcher, several small bars and cafes for great coffee and pastries for breakfast, and the famous Aperol spritz cocktail in the evening at a brilliant price! A walk up into the steep, winding streets is a must, a great chance to see such an old village from every angle.
In the wider area, there were so many outdoor activities to experience, and the city of Lucca and the town of Barga were both interesting and beautiful places to explore. Great value restaurants are abundant.
We can't wait to return to the gorgeous Villa Pavone. The extra double bedroom means that we'll be back very soon with our daughter, not just for the great accommodation and surrounding area, but for the lovely hosts, who helped make it such a special holiday.

Thanks, Hayley and Lloyd. It was a pleasure sharing our Tuscan dream with you. Can't wait for you to return with your lovely daughter, and to show you the beautiful new apartment in the stables. Hot tub arriving soon - with that view to the Apuan Alps!
