My husband and our boy Jake brought me here today for my birthday lunch. We've been several times before and always sit out in the garden bar for a couple of cold beers and a bite to eat. Always a very nice experience . See you again soon.

staff are friendly but the food is 2 star. Hard fried eggs, tasteless chips and accompanied by a really weird fennel seed salad that overpowers everything.
Went back next day (only pub in the village!) and had bread and olives which was good but also came with the bizarre salad.
Nice garden though, and a great location.

The 8 Bells is a lovely country pub in a beautiful setting, unfortunately it is run by the chef and not by the management who wants to work his hours and not hours that suit the customers or hours advertised by pub.

We arrived at 20.40 to be told the kitchen had closed although pub advertises 21.00 - we a party of 10 have used this pub many times over many years at similar times

Pubs we are told are struggling - not supprisingly if they can turn away £250 worth of business - very dissapointed

Nice friendly pub excellent food good selection of beers. I do not think you will be disappointed, but you can't please everybody. Nice garden with nice country views, so if in the area give it a go. If you don't like it don't blame me.
