Booked for family evening meal but as there was only one barman on duty who was busy we stood around a bit until eventually someone else took us to our table. Decor not fantastic and menu rather limited because "we only put on what we have in stock" which to me sounds a bit haphazard & amateurish if your trying to go back for the meal you enjoyed last time. Food service ok & food of a good quality when it arrived. Don't live locally but wouldn't rush back even if I did.

Well worth a visit if you're in the area. Local attractions include Angelsey Abbey and of course Cambridge itself.

A delicious lunchtime out with the family, food lovely and staff very attentive, just the lack of lager that ruined it for me.

We had a wine tasting tour at nearby Chilford Hall Vineyard as a Christmas present and decided to stay overnight the night before to make it a mini break. The Black Horse Inn was lovely. The bar is very well kept and the staff so friendly.
The best thing was the restaurant, which served the most delicious menu that evening.
As the place filled up during the evening - the gardens too - we realised that many locals must enjoy the food too.
The rooms were at the back of the car park - motel style - and were comfortable though not particularly spacious. We would definitely stay there again if we travel that way in the future.

A good village pub with a warm welcome and comfortable rooms. A good choice of proper pub grub, beers & great staff.
