The places website looks great - and the same does description, but dont be fooled!
Photo of the place website does not match reality in 2016.
Part of the activities described - especially for children are not more on the places..
I have attached 13 photos of the place - incl. a print from the places description
Firstly, there is a very poor condition in several places - and more things are defective.
I asked in the reception where the ping / pong, Bike hiring, Padding pool, kids pool and animal farm was ..
I was informed that children's pool and padding pool not has been able to use for almost a year, bike hiring not been there in several years, and animal farm has not been at the place for a few years.
The 2 ping / pong tables were both broken and has not replaced ..
I was informed that there maybe was a football table on the spot - but I never found it..
A site with all these errors is cheating and deceit.
They probably have regulated prices every year, so they have here updated the site..

Now that the kids pool was defective, so should the big pool be super delicious.
But no, there was green algae on the side - and also in the basin where excess water overflows (see foto)
I feel sorry for the children / families who have been disappointed by all theese lack of activities!
I have attached some pictures that are far-date than those who the palce have uploaded on tripadvisor - and on their own website.
Here is a short brief description of the 13 foto..I mens bathing in the Spa there is only one light bulb that works (and it hangs down from the ceiling), shower defective, tiles have fallen in the spa a door in the very state!
At girls bathing was none showers working !!
The bathing conditions are better on a 2 * campsite.
I said at the reception that there lacked lights in the locker room and on the toilet at the restaurant.
After 5 days, this was still not made
It does not suggest that the place been swept, cleaned quite often, which can you can see on the photo.
Some places are in some places good condition.
Part of the house-gardens are in very poor condition - and partition end to the terraces are destroyed. This unfortunately give a bad overall impression of the place.
The first you see in the entrance to the place is 2 defective and very ugly electric vehicles. Not a nice entrance to this place.
It is a shame that the place not is maintained/taken care of daily.
Because the site is located in a nice area and can actually be a good resort.
I can see that many guests have had similar response from management "Unfortunately, we had this particular problem on your stay this prob. But we will do better in the future ..."

If the place really meens they will do better, then just made all the defective thing and offer the activities as is described on the site (DG Hotels) also are on the place (So guests also get what it pays for!)

This "resort" has the potential to be very good but it misses out on some key details to make it better.

Maintenance - all around the resort could be better

More seats and shade at the pool

A kiosk poolside that is actually open.

A regular maid service- we were there 10 nights and only saw them once (we did ask for more)

Much much better WIFi. It's a must have.

On the plus side - the 2 bedroom house was clean/spacious enough for the 4 of us. Had all the required kitchen equipment.

Didn't bother with their brekky - no need to when there is a great Bakery in the village.

We only tried the restaurant once (see separate review).

It's a good base to tour the area (la Grasse//Carcosonne/Narbonne/Guissan/Bages/Periyac etc) ) all within an hour.

We spent each day tripping and really enjoyed exploring the area and bringing tasty ingredients back. However we did keep gravitating towards the coast.

Would we go again - probably not.

We booked a three bedroom apartment with a private pool for a week in August 2015. Not cheap: € 2400, so we expected it to be quite luxurious and nice (like it appears on the marketing material of the agent and on the web site).

The resort is well designed and planned, but it seems that something went totally wrong with maintenance budgets.... The outdoor common areas are quite nice, but could be even nicer if you did not see broken deck chairs and golf carts piled up right inside the entrance gate... and around every house corner for that sake. Even next to the main stairs leaving the large common pool you see broken garden furniture and parasols piled up. A total lack of detail and order.

The same goes for the gardening. The main pool area has several large pots full of dried up trees and bushes. The some goes for the area around the bar. It would cost very little to make it nicer with some blossoming plants.

Also, the stairs leading up from the pool to the bar is full of gravel and dirt. They ought to hose it down and clean it every day to give a better impression.

The common pool is nice and large. However, there are very few deck chairs. So you see guests spreading their towels on the stone floor. For the money you pay at this resort, they ought to make sure there are enough deck chairs and parasols. Since the beach is 45 mins away, you want to make sure the life pool side is comfortable. That would give them some business in the bar also....

The check-in was fine. No problems. However, the state of repair of the apartment leaves a lot to desire. Broken light bulbs, lack of lights over the kitchen sink (aparently fallen off...), built-in water closets that run constantly due to broken push buttons, sunbeds that are broken... parasols that do not fit into the base.... It is all such a pity, because it is just a matter of better follow-up and maintenance from management. We made a complaint about these issues at the reception the morning after arriving.... Although we do not know if the person understood us.... She did not seem to speak much English.

The nice things are: good distribution of rooms and spaces. Quite well equipped kitchen (although the second fridge was broken). The private garden is not well kept, and badly needs some attention, but the little pool is nice.

The wifi is really really poor..... and has hardly got any bandwith. This is a bit of a crisis for families with teenagers, or if you want to get some work done.

Did we have a good time? Yes! But more despite the Resort than because of it. For this money you have many other good options. We will not come back.

Recommendations for Management:

a) Hire a capable maintenance team. Make a check-list to leave in the apartments, that the guests can fill out, so that you know what is broken before the next guests arrive.

b) Spend some money on gardening - pay attention to details. Do not leave garbage and broken deck chairs around the corners of the property. This creates a poor image.

c) There are many families with children and teenagers. It would have been nice if the hotel organized some activities for them, so that they are entertained.

Having read some less than complimentary reviews we were a little concerned as to what we would find, though to be fair the most recent posts were better.
I am pleased to say we had a really nice stay.
On arrival, we checked in without any issue, very friendly helpful staff.
Our 2 bed house was very clean and well presented.
The facilities on site are good, the large outdoor pool is unheated, as it was 30 degrees that was not an issue, the indoor pool is heated. The restaurant on our first night was busy, we hadn't booked but they accommodated us with a smile and the food was lovely. The grounds are very nice, the lavender covered pathways are delightful and maybe why we didn't get bitten by bugs or mozzies at all !
Its a great location for visiting Narbonne, Beziers, Perpignan and Carcassonne there are lots of beaches, within a 1/2 hr drive through lovely countryside. The local village has a couple of good restaurants and a Spar, bakery, bank etc is a 10min stroll either long by the stream or on the road. The resort was child friendly with lots of families staying when we were there.
It's a very French village and resort, you need to try to speak French, some staff can speak English, some can't. This didn't bother us, we liked the fact we had to make the effort to speak French, this goes for the whole of this region really.
We will go back again.

Resort was beautiful with pathways covered in lavender. We stayed in villa 172 which had amazing views from the windows looking out to the fields and mountains beyond. The open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area was a great place to hang out and socialise with family especially with those gorgeous french doors leading out to the patio and pool area. The villa was pretty and tastefully decorated with french furniture and rustic french shutters with lovely earth colours, in pale yellow, cream and green. I wonder if Farrow and Ball got their inspiration from France?....The pool was a really good size and it was private even though you could use the massive and stunning communal pool. Bed mattresses were really comfortable too. The hotel facilities were very good especially the spa! It was beautiful! Infact, the spa, the decor and the massage was 5 star.
Negatives about the house: When we first arrived they could have opened out the folding sofa bed in one of the rooms (only one bedroom had a sofa bed); No iron provided (and we asked); no bottle opener, strange considering most guests would want to enjoy a glass of wine. No dishwasher or washing powder. Not enough towels were provided. My husband and I stayed in one of the double rooms with onsuite shower room and the wardrobe only had 4 x clothes hangers, thats not enough for two people staying for a week. There was definately a lack of attention to detail all round. Reception staff were not particularly helpful and friendly and there was nothing written in english about the area in and around St Laurent de Cabrerisse. Seems like they cater for the french and not the foreign tourist.

Room tip: Location of villa 172 was great and quiet. The 3 x bedrooms upstairs have lovely views with uninterrupted views.
