Plasauduon holiday cottage is in an ideal location to explore the Shropshire area.
Bishops Castle is not far from Shrewsbury, Welshpool, Ludlow and the surrounding area. The cottage is very comfortable and has all the modern appliances.
There is a secure garden area for your dog to roam in.
There are two very good eating establishments just 5 minutes walk away.
Definitely a home to home feel about the cottage and we would recommend it.

“A real gem.”

This delightful, dog friendly cottage is about 5 minutes walk from the nearest pub and about 10 minutes back (not because of weaving from side to side but because of the fairly steep hills). We were fortunate in that we enjoyed mediterranean type weather and so spent most of our time at the cottage out in the lovely garden with its views over the Shropshire hills. There were so many nice touches to make this a lovely home from home including a welcome gift of tasty home made marmalade.
The bedrooms are all a good size and have very comfy beds. Although there is no parking space at the cottage (owing the the narrowness of the road outside) you can unload by parking on the pavement opposite for a short time. And there is plenty of parking space just up or down the road. The owners are really friendly and are available by phone if you need anything. Bishops Castle itself has loads of eateries and place to enjoy a drink or two. The Shropshire way is just minutes up the road from the cottage and you can enjoy any length of walk along this scenic route. There are numerous other local country walks of varying lengths which are detailed in the cottage's comprehensive library. I'm glad that we booked this property and have already provisionally booked for next year.

“Not the Best”

TheTown of Bishops Castle is a lovely location and cottage which is located at the top of the hill which overlooks the countryside and has many fine views. But the cottage itself is not one of the most tidiest or cleanest I have stayed in.The owner has lots of books in every room approximate 100 or more. The cottage in my opinion needs a deep clean and a lot of the owners own Property to be removed to give the person staying at the cottage more space. have not given a bad review in the past but I think Sorry to say this needs one

Management Response
20 Jul 2017
We leave books and games in the property for guests to read and use during their stay and we have always had great reviews for this. We do not have our own property at the cottage apart from cleaning and maintenance equipment. As for saying our cottage needs a "deep clean" we take exception to this as we always clean the cottage to a high standard ourselves and have never before had a complaint about cleaning in the 7 years we have let the cottage. Having met the guests during the week, when no mention was made of any problems, we noticed one of the guests obviously had mobility problems which we clearly state our cottage is not suitable for due to stairs and wonder if this made their stay difficult ?
