Take a torch, wear good walking shoes, maintain good balance and visit the glow worm tunnel. Take time to adjust eyes to darkness and enjoy the worms.

So this was a surprise birthday present from my partner... and it was freaking AWESOME! Tom was a wealth of information, the Glow Worms were beautiful and the joy of sitting in the Blue Mountains, in the dark, listening to the sounds of the night really gave this Nature Lover a much needed recharge.

Did this tour last night. The glow worms were so incredible, our guide was super knowledgeable on the flora and fauna in the area. My partner is an animal lover and the guide answered all his questions. He was very respectful of the environment which was good to see because these animals are not a circus act they are wild animals. Would do it again and highly recommend.

We booked the tour knowing nothing about glow worms, has that ever changed! Even though there was only the two of us the guide was very enthusiastic. He took us down into the cavern to a world we never anticipated to see. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained the life cycle of the glow worm as they glowed in abundance on the cavern walls around us! We would definately recommend this tour to anyone that wants a new and unique experience

After booking a tour for 4th February, we were looking forward to this experience especially given all the fantastic reviews. We booked separate transport as per the website guidelines, via TCP Day Tours which was great. However, once we arrived, our guide was late and seemed irritable, probably as there were only the two of us booked on for that evening. We were told that Jochen was unavailable and Aaron led us silently, showing none of the passion or enthusiasm that Jochen gets praised for. There was NO recounting stories, NO teaching/fact sessions, NO knowledge (after asking, he even got the fly lifespan wrong!, NO supervised photo assistance and we even had to ask about getting a view of the glow worms. This 30 minute tour was rather a waste of an evening and over $200 down – it should have been much better.
