Step out from the lounge/dining/kitchen and walk into the view ... along the road into town or down to the beach and across to St Michael's Mount.
Great to leave the car beside the 2 cottages, and catch the buses. We were here for the coastal walks, sometimes walking back to Marazion & sometimes catching the bus back. Buts its also a simple drive to the Lizard or Lands End.
Penzance has good supermarkets for catering, or Marazion has several restaurants to investigate for treats (don't forget the pasties too).
Cottage is comfortable and well equipped; Richard and Sarah on site with help at any time. A good night's sleep in the sea air, and fairly quiet since its just below the road. All you need is good weather (which we had !). Many thanks.
Richard and sarah were there to meet us on our arrival and were lovely and friendly. The cottage had everything you needed and was very clean the location was very good. right near St michales mount .in fact you could see St Michael's mount from the lounge window which was all lit up at night. This was our 1st visit to cornwall and we were lucky to have good weather. Couldn't believe the beautiful countryside and beaches and how clear the water was. We will definitely be going back.
Excellent cottage, the views are amazing. The beach & amenities are only a short walk away. The cottage is lovely, with everything you need & so peaceful. The bed is very comfy & we had no trouble sleeping, which helped us have a very relaxing break. Sarah & Richard are excellent hosts & went through everything we needed to know about the cottage & gave us some tips on where to go, the Park & Ride to St. Ives was beautiful. The private parking is also an added bonus. We look forward to our next visit.
Cudden Cottage is a short walk from the middle of Marazion with Mount's Bay and St. Michael's Mount very close, in fact one can see them from the terrace and living room window. The cottage is comfortable and warm. The owners, Richard and Sarah, were very welcoming and helpful
This is my 4th attempt at writing this review as it does not want to upload when I have finished!!!!!! Here we go again. This is a fantastic good sized cottage in a brilliant location with your own parking space. We found it easily using Richard s very good directions, we were met on arrival by both Richard and Sarah who could not do enough for us,, we had a very thorough walk around the cottage with them showing how all appliances worked and where switches were.
The bedroom had the most comfy king sized bed we have ever had other than home with soft comfy pillows, plenty of cupboard and general space.
The bathroom had a walk in shower and a corner bath too! With very hot water in the sink, lovely fluffy towels.
The kitchenette had all you could need with large fridge and same size freezer, microwave, toaster, all important kettle even a coffee maker, cleaning and washing up equipment were found under the sink. The lounge area had a comfy sofa, large coffee table, tv and dining table with chairs.
We had very mixed weather whilst staying the last week of September but found the balcony a little sun trap in the mornings especially. We had a couple of BBQ s in the evening and it was very cosy in the cottage on the couple of drizzly days we had.
This upside down cottage is perfect for a couple, making the most of the views of the sea and St.Michael s Mount if there are more than 2 of you , the owners, who also live here, have another larger cottage, next door too.
We would recommend staying here to anyone and would definitely like to return in the future.
