We live in Clarens and often take rides through the park. During the past 5 years the deterioration is really bad. When you drive past a weekend farm place the roof is off and never been replaced. Wintertime no firebrakes are made and the park has just burned down again the one side totally black. No animals to be seen. Burn signs never get replaced. The potholes through the game drives are dangerously big. This park used to be prestine 10 years ago. Now so disappointing and run down. No maintenance done.. just like Kruger Park

This is one awesome park that I can never stop going to. Great staff, beautiful surrounding, scenic walks and hikes, great landscapes and lots of game. Definitely must visit if ever in the Free State. AndCheap

This national park has its own beauty – the majestic Maluti mountains, sandstone outcrops and formations, vast panes with game and blue skies. We drove on the scenic drives and enjoyed the splendour.
Ideal to feed one’s soul.

A drive through this magnificent park is well worth it for anyone travelling to and from Clarens. It probably adds an extra 40 minutes onto your travelling time. But it is so worth it.
