We arrived on a wet Saturday evening but soon warmed up with the lovely woodburner going. Everything you need for your holiday is in this lovely cottage, People had written about the small things that werent in the cottage but your on holiday you cant have everything that you have at home. You are not far from everywhere by car. We had trips to Anglesey, drove around the mountain side, went to the Welsh mountain zoo, Zipworld which was out of this world !! In the cottage getting up in the morning with the sunny shining being able to open patio doors and sit outside with a cup of tea was bliss, counting the moles hills that had appeared overnight ! I had the best nights sleep there you could hear a pin drop and the wind rustling through the tree was the best. If your looking for somewhere to have fun down the town then this isnt for you. There is a pub in Rachub to which i did go to once but everyone just spoke Welsh and it was quite intimidating so I didnt go back but my partner did one more time. There are street lights so you can see the way back with torches. The cottage does get mixed up with one on the main road such as it is but its actually arrived at in 2 different ways a neighbour of the wrong house said the postman gets in wrong too. If you book this cottage and just want to chill out and unwind then you wont go far wrong, or if you are a walker then ive heard that there are plenty of walks around the area that are good. We just wanted to chill out and have a peaceful time which we did.

Thank you for posting a review and I'm pleased you mention it's a self catering holiday cottage. Unfortunately we are not geared up for the bed and breakfast/ hotel experiences but as you say there are plenty of supermarkets in the nearby town of Bangor. An exciting new restaurant has opened in 2017 called 'The Slate' 2 miles away in the village of Tal y Bont. Taxis are app £5 back to the cottage. Fabulous food and great hosts!
