We popped into the pub for a drink and decided to get dinner in the pub side. Hubby ordered pizza and chips. It's usually pretty hit and miss here but the pizza was lovely and the bowl of chips were huge.

Family Birthday mid week. Booked on line and it was great to see a table reserved for us. Play ground for the kids off of the dining room. Casual atmosphere. Prices are a tad high. Good service from the wait staff. Meals took a bit long to arrive, although they did serve the kids their meals so between the play equipment and their food they didn't get restless

Brooklands Tavern is a great place for lunch or dinner, the menu variety is quite good and the meals very nice. The meals are well priced with pensioners meals from $15. The staff are very nice and helpful, and the place is child friendly with an internal play area. Sunday’s can be quite noisy, but with a good atmosphere.

Took a drive to the south side of town, deciding to stop somewhere for lunch. Our thoughts were you cant really go wrong with pub food.
No one came to take our order so went up to the counter to order, still no body there to take the order. Eventually got someone to speak to me, couldn't order the advertised Sunday special as it was not being made that day ? so back to the drawing board to come up with something else, and another long wait for the order to be taken.
Food eventually came and was not as we expected for pub food. Overpriced for what it was, nothing to rave about or recommend to others or any need to go back there again.
My friend decided to order dessert, after a 30 minute wait watching everyone else receive their meals, we eventually go up to the counter and ask how much longer for the desert to come (apple crumble). Was advised the manager forgot to place the order. Waited another 20 minutes for it to arrive. No sense of urgency or prioritising for missing the order, or even an apology for it being missed.
I would have left then and there for the lousy service alone, my friend really wanted the apple crumble, which he enjoyed and said it was worth his wait.

Wife and I turned up around 13:30 and were promptly seated.
The waitress was polite and quickly provided menu's and requested drink orders and food orders.
The beer choices were frugal at best with same same ( same as any pub in Perth) choices to be made. Same old overworked tasteless beers from corporate breweries looking to make a buck. ( apologies but I generally drink Coopers Sparkling )
I ordered a Scotch fillet with chips and salad ( such and exciting and vibrant menu .... not) wife ordered Pork Belly with crispy crackling.
My steak was cooked as ordered but was quite average in size and more fatty than it should have been.
The "salad" was ordinary at best without an olive in sight, just the usual lettuce cucumber and grated carrot.....nothing outstanding here.
The garlic sauce was as expected .... devoid of any garlic flavour.
The chips lived up to expectations simply by being chips.
Wife ordered Pork Belly with sweet mashed potato and beans..........she was very complimentary about it and said the crackling was to die for and every element of the meal was very well prepared.
In a nutshell ...don't think I will be returning anytime soon...especially considering the screaming children in the back ground.
