Absolutely stunning. The raw beauty of this place is second to none. We had a fabulous break hiking and exploring and will be back for more.

Spent the morning going for a walk around here from Tomich, there is plenty of nature, pretty views and walking trails to follow. It was a really hot day so after a lot of up hill climbing we decided to cool off in the river. Great time had by all.

We had planned to do the 12 mile circuit around the loch but were thwarted by a very fast running knee high stream. I don't whether this was because of snow melting from the surrounding mountains but it was impassable unless you were prepared to get wet or had a change of socks and shoes with you. This was almost half way round counter clockwise so we had t head back the way we came, unfortunately.

This doesn't put me off recommending this walk, however, as it is not too difficult as relatively flat on a clear stony and somewhat muddy path part way and paved part way. Very scenic wilderness walk although we didn't see any wildlife.

One other issue when we visited 5 May was that the toilets in the car park were very poor. The water appeared to be switched off perhaps because of some nearby construction work but poor for a fine weather bank holiday weekend.

I cannot recommend this place enough, what a great drive. The big waterfall was well worth seeing and wished we had more time to explore the rest.

On the advice of our B&B hosts we drove to the last of three car parks and walked up to the high viewpoint (15-20 minute loop) and then along the river path (30-40 minute loop). Lovely views all around, especially from the high point overlooking the glen. We had to head back after this but the Dog Falls walk from the 1st car park also looks lovely.

Parking is £1.50 for up to 3 hours or £2 all day.
