Description: Karen, Paul, Damien and Jack welcome you to the Wickhambrook Greyhound and Twenty one. The Greyhound opened its doors under its current owners in August 2011 after being purchased from Greene King. The Greyhound has since undergone a huge refurbishment including the demolition of half of the pub and the erection of a new building housing a new kitchen, stylish toilets and the exciting new restaurant Twenty One. The Greyhound & Twenty One is situated in the centre of Wickhambrook, which is the largest village by area in Suffolk. Wickhambrook is located approximately 10 miles from Newmarket, Haverhill and Bury St Edmunds. We offer a selection of cask conditioned ales, fine wines and award winning coffees, in a comfortable, friendly and inviting atmosphere. We have a large car park, large gardens and a cosy log fire for those winter nights, and if you have a dog bring them along too. We look forward to welcoming you soon.

Another fantastic meal at Twenty One, service is outstanding, always polite and never intrusive. The food was exceptional, especially the Yorkshire puddings! Have visited for evening meals during the week and they never disappoint, the burgers alone are worth the journey!! Would recommend!!

This is a lovely pub with a restaurant in a rural location.

The pub has a modern interior and is neat, tidy, well decorated and well kept.

We called in for a pint and lunch after a morning’s country walk. Staff members were welcoming and cheerful and two contrasting real ales were available and these suited our taste and needs.

One of us chose chilli con carne (might have been served a bit hotter – in the chilli sense – than it was) but there is recognition here that other diners might not want it as hot as this. The other chose sausages, which were delicious. Both meals were nicely hot (in the heat sense). The portions were not vast (not a complaint), but sensibly sized, which meant that everything was eaten and nothing was wasted.

It was not particularly busy on Thursday lunchtime but there were other diners.

This was a good lunch and I am confident we will visit again.

We went for Sunday lunch last week and it was just fantastic. We were a group of 5 adults and 2 children - the children's portion was big enough for some adults! The choice was really good - all the adults choose the mixed meat option, the Yorkshire puddings were some of the best we've ever had, the roasties were so tasty. Only a couple of us had room for dessert - I had the lemon posset and it was just delicious. Really good value for money, great food, good sized portions, excellent service. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful place to eat right on our doorstep.

Food - hot and fresh and good quality.
Staff - attentive friendly and accommodating.
Decor - small and cosy.
Price - good value for money not the cheapest but certainly not the most expensive.

We had a recent gathering of 21 family members the service was quick and we were impressed with how the kitchen and staff coped with such a big party even accommodating special dietary needs - well done

Thank Michelle H
