I have just returned from here with my wife and her elderly parents.( the outlaws) The pics do not do justice to the experience. There is the sound of the cicadas rattling away in the shrubbery, the fragrance of fruit and almond trees lifted by the breeze, the air show of swallows and occasional hawks. The church bells ring frequently, even into the night, waking you to tell you it's time for sleep. The village of Fouzilhon is a very peaceful and ancient place and lovely to walk around.
The stairs in and around the house are tricky but with care the old folks managed, albeit slowly. The terrace is the highlight, with a sturdy safety rail in place which isn't shown in the pics. The view from here is peacefully pleasant. When we left temperatures were in the 30's.. The Bertuels were very helpful, living nearby, and Mme Bertuel met us in the village when we arrived. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. Local wines very nice and a great centre from which to explore. Recommended.
