After Vinales and Havana we spent 3 days in lovely Trinidad where we were welcomed by Jorg in casa Las Palmas. We had a terrific room, very clean, spacious, comfortable and a fridge full of cold drinks wich was very welcome after a long dusty trip with Viazul bus. Jorg's homemade mojitos are worth mentioning as well...very nice. Jorg is also there to advise you on all sorts of things, fixing a taxi, advising you on the local sightseeing and if you are on time he will arrange for you a taxi to Havana which saves you a lot on travelling time for the same money as the Viazul bus. The casa itself is very nice, with a quiet garden, a little pool, ideal for chilling after a day on the beach or a visit to Trinidad itself. Food is also very tasty and more than enough. We really enjoyed our time in Las Palmas and definitively recommend it to everyone visiting Trinidad.

Great place to be, we booked only for 3 nights but in the end we spent 10 nights in this beautiful casa.
Jorg and his wife are fantastic, they help you with everything.
Dinner is massive and lovely, and in the morning you have warm fresh baked bread !
The rooms are clean and you have your own bathroom !
The minibar is very handy.
The garden is beautiful and peaceful. So is Casilda. The Casa sits between Trinidad and the beach. We can't wait to go back !!!!

My husband and I stayed here in Jan 2012 for 2 nights. Jorg is good host and more reserved compared to the other hosts we stayed with, but that is not a fault against him, just a different style.

The house is located in Casildas, 4 km away, so you will have to get to Trinidad by horse cart/cab/foot/train 4a tiny one; with one compartment!)/bus- we tried them all and had lots of fun- the horse cart is especially fun.

The room was big, clean, modern, with good beds and the BEST shower and toilet we had experienced in Cuba- hot showers! Air-conditioning as well, not that it was necessary in January. You have a choice of rooms- we stayed on the ground floor, next to the kitchen.

Food was fresh and excellent- ask for the curry shrimps!

All in all, you wont regret choosing this place.

We had an enjoyable stay here. Our room was separate to the main house and very peaceful. The pool was definitely appreciated when we were there to escape the heat. It felt a bit like it was still being built and is not very deep but does the job.

The food was wonderful, huge servings of fresh seafood served with a smile. It was some of the best food we had in Cuba.

The location is not all that convenient. There is nothing to see in the area (it is a very quiet street) and it is a drive to Trinidad or Playa Ancon. There is no beach within walking distance. If you want to just relax or don't mind a short trip into town, this is a nice relaxed place to stay.

We stayed here for three nights in April, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The casa is a little outside of Trinidad in Casilda (but easily accessible) which gave it more peaceful surroundings away from the hassle. Also close by, and worth a visit, is the beach of Playa Ancon. Jorg was a wonderful host, laid back, but also helpful. The service from the other staff was also great. The casa itself was luxurious, rooms clean and spacious. The beds extremely comfortable, and bathroom and fridge very modern and efficient for Cuba! The garden was beautiful, like a little oasis, very relaxing. We were also given usage of the swimming pool, which was fantastic and gave us great respite from the heat! Breakfast was delicious, as were the evening meals that we ate whilst staying.

Whilst there Jorg directed us to the local doctors clinic, where we donated some medical supplies we had taken with us (paracetemol, plasters etc) which are very scarce and expensive for the people of Cuba. The staff told us they would distribute the items to local elderly people, and those who could not afford to purchase them themselves. They were so in need and grateful for the little that we gave them, we'd like to recommend that anyone visiting here (or elsewhere in Cuba) do the same if they have room in their luggage going out.
