Myself and my partner stayed here a few weeks back during a big trip around India. We were on a pretty tight budget but this place seemed to come up trumps on TripAdvisor, so went for it.
Kay and Satiyendra who run it are an extremely welcoming pair, who made us feel very at home within the camp.
The rooms are basic, but big and comfortable, and are set within a beautiful garden they have built up within the grounds of the property. Being within the park, having spent a fair amount of time in built up areas around India, the accommodation complimented a feeling of being truly 'stuck in' with the surrounding nature.
One of the biggest plus points here was the fact that they sorted everything for us - the pickup and drop off from Umaria, the tickets for the park - and as mentioned in other reviews, accompanied us into the park on our safari's. Their wealth of knowledge is great to observe, and makes for tracking tigers a very exciting experience.
We were unlucky in not spotting a tiger- but were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a leopard instead (apparently a rarer sighting!). This is apparently due to the time of year, as no other tigers were spotted in the time we were there. The experience was well worth it all the same.
A tranquil and relaxing place to stay, that makes 'doing' the national park very easy. Highly recommended.
