“not a five star hotel”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 October 2011

hi just returned from this hotel what can i say! first of all turkey is a lovely place to visit. the turkish people are very freindly and the country is beautifull, and definatly go back again. but would not go back to this hotel, the staff are lovely and freindly, but what lets this hotel down is the food, very bland and if you like chicken and eggs then fine, however just plain roast chicken ( no seasoning). or in a stew form in water, not even a gravy, is not my taste, breakfast is fried eggs or ommlette, and lots of continental cheese , (crusty bread nice) chips even for breakfast are abundant,, the juices are consentrated and if you want fresh , you pay for it, the alcohol drinks are limited to turkish brands and are drowned in cola or lemonade, the best drink is the coffee (nescafe on tap).
the rooms are basic we had a mountain veiw which was great, as the sea view rooms overlook the bar and pool which is very busy and noisy till 3 in the morning. What i found astonishing about this hotel was the other guests, 50% Russians, 30% German, 20% Dutch, the rest from other European countries, 1% British, however No one talks to each other or interacts with each other and are very rude at times, we met a few couples from england and belgium who felt the same. The system of A/C and the mini bar is a joke it only works if you are in the room, i.e. the key card operates the A/C & fridge ( which only stock's coke and water) depending on the amount of people in the room is what you get, therefore when you leave the room everything goes off, the A/C is rubbish, only workes properly at 3 in the morning for about an hour. the beach is pebbles and shingle (take good beach shoes or your feet get cut to ribbons) they pack the sunbeds like sardines ( no privacy even on the beach). overall its a shame this hotel could be better, we have stayed in lots of 3 star hotels aroung the world which outclass this one; the hotel is very regimental even to the point of when you eat and can have a ice cream, can only say if you choose this hotel the best thing about it is the staff on the ground ( barstaff, room maids, waiters/waitress, cleaners, who work extreamly hard to make your stay enjoyable.

Room Tip: mountain veiw are queter the sea veiw

I had stay in yelken hotel for 1 week with my wife .
hotel was nice and the best thing about this hotel is location and its view of see and forest .
food was good specially breakfast was great.
animation programs was good but could be better.
beach was very clean and there were a lot of sunbeds for you
pool was not so big but it was nice and adequate for the number of guests.
room was clean and a little small but shame about room service because they did not refresh the soup and shampoo and it is better for you to bring yours or buy .

Room Tip: ask for sea view and higher level ( sea view rooms cost 10$ more per night ) but forest view rooms h...

In Yelken Blue Life we were upgraded to a suite, the room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The food , in all three restaurants was amazing, The service was also very good, the staff members throughout the hotel were always kind.

My four year old daughter had a blast, the beach, water slides, pools and mini club had her busy and happy throughout our 10 days. At night there was alot of entertainment, alot of fun for the adults and children.

I have been to Kemer a few times, to different hotels, I think this is the one for value.

we will be back next year

Just got back from our holiday and what a wicked time we had !!!!!!!
Hotel was very clean , tidy and well mantained. Food was very tasty and plentyful , and lots of choise for the picky eaters !!!! ( the cakes are to die for too !!!!! )
There was NO problem getting sun beds, even though the hotel was packed !!!!
The staff there were so helpful and couldn't do enough for you, and their English was pretty good too !! The beach was just down a few steps, and even though it was pebbley it was not to bad. The water in the pool and the sea was clean and warm.
I would return again with no problem . !!!!
Thank's Yelken for a fantastic holiday !!!!

This is NOT 5-star hotel for sure. Rooms rather clean, building under construction with lots of dirt and construction work unfinished. Food - varies, sometimes good sometimes just poor; drinks are one big mistake, having so-called "ulta-inclusive package" I had to stick to beer as the rest was just undrinkable. 3EU for glass of juice is a robbery in Turkey, and coffee was just poisonous, cheapest copy of Nescafe You would not use for cleaning the sink...
Among the guests, ~80% Russians, sometimes drunk.
But the worst thing was NOISE, or, I should say: PERVASIVE NOISE. on the pool, close to the bar one CAN'T avoid that, same on the beach! actually, I have chosen seashore hotel and seaside view not for listening to russo-disco noise-hit-list!
if You choose land-side room, you are exposed to big road with lots of traffic;choosing seaside means disco from the loudspeakers ALL DAY, plus noisy animation activities on the open air You also can't avoid, plus extremely NOISY DISCO from neighbor hotel.
Uff, if You're still with me, please cancel your reservation at Yelken ASAP and choose something reasonable, even 4 star; Yelken is NOT 5 star, rather very overpriced 3-star property for truck drivers.
