Description: Dating back to the 17th century, The Anchor Inn pub in Wyre Piddle near Pershore has a gently sloping, riverside terraced garden on the River Avon and looking out onto Bredon Hill. With plenty of outdoor seating for Al Fresco dining on the terrace we offer pleasant surroundings overlooking the river where you can enjoy an expertly prepared meal, snack or just a refreshing drink. Our restaurant areas are suitable for private dining and our relaxed lounge/bar seats 30 and is an ideal place for families to enjoy quality time together. Our real Ales include Greene King's Abbot's Ale, Wye Valley's Butty Bach and Pershore Brewery's Pale Ale which we keep to the highest standard. You will also find Estrella Damn, Birra Moretti, San Miguel, Carling, Symonds, Hogan's Cider and Guiness on at all times.

Very nice Sunday roast. Tender roast beef, large crunchy Yorkshire pud, roast potatoes and nice fresh veg. Good selection of deserts. All very reasonably priced. Good pint, attentive service, and not a bad view either looking out over the river.

We were on holiday in the local area as we love this part of the country.
Called into this lovely village pub for a drink at lunch time and it is in the most amazing position overlooking the river.
I would imagine it is a stunning place to visit in the summer.
Anyway, we were impressed so booked a table for the following evening. As there were 8 of us we hoped it would go OK as often places struggle with large groups.
The experience was perfect.
Very professional, superb tasty food, great service from some lovely staff and good value for money too.
We try and come down here on holiday every year and this lovely pub restaurant is a great reason to continue.

Four of us visited here this week and had great experience. Both the staff on duty were extremely friendly and service was swift and efficient. The beer (Butty Bach) was well kept and was enjoyed by us all. The food was of very high quality and I can highly recommend the crispy buttermilk chicken the others had the pie of the day which they all really enjoyed. They certainly have a very good chef. We will certainly visit again and would recommend others to do so. One last thing I sent a message to the pub and received a reply within minutes which is not generally the case when I have contacted other pubs. All round agreat experience

I thought we would visit this pub as it was an old haunt from many years ago when I was boating on the rivers. Since then it has seemed to improve its marketing appearance. The food was superb. We both had lamb shank and the meat fell off the bone. It was a quiet time of year but the ambience of the place was very pleasing and the service was pleasant
