We spent 5 days here.
It is spacious, clean and is in the perfect location for days our exploring!
Food is amazing. Staff are approachable and friendly.
Cot provided for my baby. Bunk beds for my other child. Great kitchen area.
Hotel is about 15 mins away from be Aiport and at the bottom of a great ski slope.
2 min walk to supermarket/restaurants and the centre of town.

Stayed: December 2017

There is a heatwave in lappland. The rooms are not airconditioned so it was really hot and moist air in our rooms. It was hard to sleep.

When place has not that heat wave going on, rooms are good enough. Prepare to walk from rooms to breakfast some 50 -200m depending your room location.

Spa is nice. They are undergoing some renovation so normal saunas were unavailable. This made the showering department growdy and uncomftable. Hope this will get better over time.

Location of hotel is good. Everything in levi center is in walking distance. Access to levi fjell is just a couple steps away.

Thank you for four feedback Pekka!

You are right the heatwave in whole Europe has been a unexpected phenomenon here in Lapland and therefore it has been hot in our standard rooms, how ever we do have superior rooms and junior suites with air conditioning.
Spa is also open now as normal with all pools and saunas.

Have a great week and welcome again to Levi Hotel Spa

With best regards

Tarja

Completely easygoing little village of hotel/motel rooms on the edge of Levi--walking distance to everything in town that you could need as a tourist. The indoor waterpark is delightful in the early morning hours when it's included in the hotel room price (you have to pay for it $$$ after morning swim hours)--although you do walk through the Burger King to get to the pool. (Yes, there's a Burger King on site, but pay no attention: it's charming.) The hotel breakfast is amazing and will completely power your ski day. Finally, this is the first stop on the very reasonably priced bus route from the airport--and the last stop on the way back to the airport: minimize your time on the bus!

Hotel is fine for the price for a clean ski cabin, but took 2 stars off as this is NOT a quiet relaxing “Spa”.

Location: Hotel is a huge sprawling complex that includes the main building with the “spa” and restaurants. The rooms are located in separate buildings spread around the parking lot. It’s across the Main Street in Levi, where the main village is located. So a bit quieter than hotels in the village.

Room: We were in Building 6 and 7. It’s a bit of a walk from the main building (we didn’t have a car) and it’s an outdoor walk. There are no bellman, so you have to haul your own luggage across the snowy/icy parking lot. TIP: Hotel has luggage sleds to help transport luggage but you many have to hunt one down at one of the buildings as people don’t always return them to the main building.

Room decor is rustic mountain cabin/dorm like. I booked a standard room and it was huge. It’s next to a ski area, so the main room has racks for your gear by the door. There are two twin beds, a small kitchenette. There’s a separate alcove with 2 bunk beds. So the space would be perfect for a family. You get two sets of towels (bath and hand), which you’ll bring with you to use at the “Spa”.

Bathroom: Large bathroom with a shower. Heated floors were nice and there’s are large refrigerator size heater to dry your wet clothes/towels.

The “Spa”: 10 Euros if you purchase 1 day pass from the hotel. 25 Euros if you purchased separately at the Spa. It’s maybe work 10 Euros max.

So I was expecting a US style relaxing and quiet adult “Spa” experience. This is more like a community pool for families. You get a locker to put your stuff in the locker room, but you have to either bring your own towel or rent one from the Spa. I walk in and it was chaotic and full of loud children of a range of ages. There’s a open common shower facility in the women’s locker room and a steam sauna. It was crazy busy and full of children in there and barely any room to store your towel.

There are several co-ed pools, only 1 was what I would call “jacuzzi hot”. The rest are a range of tepid to cool pools. There were so many kids in the pool, this was the least relaxing experience. We did the sauna for 15 mins, went out to the pool area for 10 mins and decided to leave after.

In the shower area, there’s some crappy soap (we noticed most people brought their own products). The locker room only has 1 hand dryer style hair dryer, so you have to wait to use it. There are 2 more such hair dryers outside the locker room, but most of us prefer to be dry before we walked out of the locker room.

If you have kids, this might be a nice diversion for them. But I would call this a community pool experience and not so much a “Spa”. From the hotel description online, this was NOT what I was expecting.

The front also wasn’t very good about explaining the need to bring the towel from our room to use. They made it clear no swimsuit in the sauna, but not as clear about the co-ed pool and need for swimsuit.

If you’re looking for a clean room for skiing or a family friendly hotel, this is a fine hotel for that.

The rooms were clean and warm but very rustic and basic , they were a fair walk from the main hotel reception and dinning facilities , good job it was good weather when we were there , other wise would have been going to breakfast in full ski gear , the breakfast was very good with a good selection. The children loved the swimming pools. Would I return to this hotel not sure if I would , but I would definitely go back to Levi
