Ti Kaye was just what we were looking for on our honeymoon. The staff was great. They made us feel like we were their only guests and truely wanted us to have the best time possible. The cottage was wonderful and we did not see any unwelcome guests (bugs, lizards, etc) in our room during our entire 5 night stay. Everytime we visited the beach, there were only one or two other couples there. Once in a while a party boat would visit the beach, but they did not stay long.

My BF and I visited St. Lucia over Memorial Day weekend and we had a great time. St. Lucia is a very friendly island and the staff at the Ti Kaye made our visit very enjoyable. We were picked up at the airport by the Ti Kaye driver. He was extremely nice (and our flight was delayed and everything so the poor guy was waiting in the hot sun for 2 hours for us). He loaded our bag in the van, gave us each an ice cold bottle of water and began our trip to the resort. The roads are a little windy but I was expecting it based on other reviews I read and he took it slow on major curves which was nice. He gave us a nice tour of the East side of the island, pointing out banana plantations and even stopped at a couple good photo spots overlooking the ocean and villages. We arrived at Ti Kaye and were warmly greeted and escorted to the amazing lobby which over looks the ocean. It was breathtaking!! We were served a complimentary drink while our bags were being delivered to our room and other check in odds and ends were taken care of. Our room was beautiful and I must say I loved the soap and shampoo they use (no parabens, no sulfates and a tropical guava scent which got you in the spirit of the islands) Also I loved the outdoor shower and our front porch with view of the ocean...we spent many nights enjoying the sunset from there. All the windows are doors are open when you arrive at your room, so there could be a gecko type lizard or two inside, but I didn't mind them and they are more scared of you then you are of them. There is also decent size mini fridge in each room which includes a large bottle of water and a list of other items you can request to have stocked in there. We got some rum and a few fruit juice mixers for the fridge which arrived the next morning after we returned from breakfast. So after sprucing up a little after the long flight we went to the bar to have a drink before dinner. The bartender was very welcoming and the view was again spectacular...floor to ceiling glass windows looking out on the ocean and cove below. The drinks were very good and with such fun and lively bartender conversations we returned almost every night of our stay. The drink prices were reasonable to me, coming from NYC $7 for a frozen drink is pretty good considering other islands I've been to easily charge $10 for a simple pina colada...and these drinks were much better than that! Then we went to dinner which was very good, the wait staff was very friendly and the menu had a bunch of options so you always found something that tickled your fancy. All our meals there were very good and the portions were large... almost too large for me, I felt like I was constantly wasting food but what can ya do. We also skipped the meal plan, which worked out better for us... there was no way we could have eaten all that food. The wine selection was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. Also DO THE WINE TASTING....it was one of our favorite moments there... Cleus is amazing and it was the most informative and fun wine tastings I have ever been to and it was so reasonable for the amount and quality of wines we tasted! Our second favorite moment was getting a hot stone massage at the spa. It was so relaxing and enjoyable. Plus the view from the Spa is possible the best view in the entire place, so that was worth it alone and they even set it up so while you are laying down you can still look out at the ocean, thanks to a perfectly placed mirror. The beach was beautiful, although that sand can get HOT! Whoa momma was that hot sand haha, but all the more reason to run in the water. No one really bothered us at the beach...there is one guy named Rainbow that we saw every day. He was full of helpful information and we did buy some of his own music he recorded and jewelry but he wasn't pushy at all and his music is actually very good, we love our CD. There were a couple other guys on the beach but they stuck to the far end and never actually came towards our section of beach. The stairs were not a problem, you get a little winded but after relaxing all day I enjoyed the exercise. The pool was very nice too, but my BF and I aren't really pool people when you have a perfectly good ocean available haha, but we did sit out by the pool and read our last morning there which was very relaxing. We were not there for a very long stay, so we didn't really get to do many of the tours the hotel provided, but I would have loved to have done the day trip to Martinique and the Land and Sea Tour. But we did do the water taxi to Castries. It was good, the boat crew was very nice and gave us a great tour of the island on the way there. Castries itself was ok. It is a working city with lots of people running their errands and getting their shopping done. There isn't actually too much to see there...but it was nice to get a feeling of the island away from the resort. For our trip back we used the Ti Kaye driver once again, this time it was a different man but he was a world of knowledge also. He drove us on the West side of the island (since we had already seen the east side) and told us lots of interesting history about the island and about all the different fruit trees etc. It was a very enjoyable ride back to the airport, even though we were leaving paradise. All in all, I highly recommend the Ti Kaye Resort. We had an excellent time and can't wait to return. Like I said earlier make sure you do the wine tasting and go to the spa you won't regret it!

What a gift our vacation was - serene, tranquil, romantic, relaxing....loved it! By far, our best vacation ever. The pluses of Ti Kaye include the beautiful views, snorkeling right off of the beach, kayaking to other remote beaches, the beautiful views, beach bar and restaurant, gracious and competent staff, the beautiful views, quaint cottages, exotic flora and fauna, the beautiful views, outdoor shower, plunge pool, the beautiful views, fresh seafood, wonderful wine cellar, the beautiful views, spectacular spa, kind people and did I say..the beautiful views?!

Staying at Ti Kaye was an opportunity for a cultural experience, reconnecting with our individual selves, each other, and nature. Like you, before our vacation, I did my research and read tons of reviews, looked at pictures and even pulled it up on Google Earth. The pictures and reviews can never do Ti Kaye justice! The only way to experience Ti Kaye is first hand. If you love nature, you are looking to relax - truly relax, want to indulge in time for yourself and your loved one, and are in fairly good physical condition or would like to be; this is the place for you!

Our home for the week was Cottage B (Betize) which was a short walk from the pavilion, the spa and the pool. Although the pool looked inviting we never used it. Instead, we enjoyed a plunge in our private pool every afternoon after returning from the beach. An ice cold Piton from the fridge with views of the Caribbean from your private plunge pool...ahhhh.

Nice touches: complimentary juice or rum punch upon arrival; delivery and pick up of luggage; front desk staff provide concierge services; beautifully decorated cottage upon arrival; complimentary water and banana bread in fridge upon arrival; all natural toiletries; complimentary tea and coffee; fresh juices and fruits every morning at breakfast; cheese and fruit plates available with minibar restocking; manager's night with live music; tour schedule provided upon check-in; everyone knows your name and greets you with a smile; and the cottage setups are just right (i.e. plunge pool, outdoor shower, air conditioning, ceiling fan, hammock, rocking chairs, fridge).

Tours/Activities - musts: Land and Sea; Fish fry in Anse La Raye; and a massage

Things to know: if you don't know about discount offerings, you will not be told - so ask; prices are higher for most things in St Lucia compared to the States; gratuity is included, but tipping at the end of your stay is encouraged (we tipped throughout the week on an individual basis); if you ask your driver to take a more scenic route, he will without additional cost; you will experience a few mosquitoes, a variety of birds, small lizards, you may see a bat or two, tree frogs and other small wildlife because you are on the edge of a rainforest; you will experience some rain showers and grow to love them due to the cooling effect; vendors will negotiate prices; some of the locals on the beach are very nice and will not be a bother (such as Rainbow man); however, there will be a couple you will have to say no to more than once to deter them.

Thanks to the Ti Kaye staff for a wonderful time and hugs to all who we missed on our way out of town!

We chose Ti Kaye Village as our honeymoon getaway. It was an unbelievable experience. The staff was super friendly, and they made sure to great us by our first names. It felt like home. We cannot stop raving about the scenery, and the peaceful environment. We would like to thank the staff for making our honeymoon memorable. We hope to be back on our five year anniversary. :)

With great appreciation,

M&M

Ti Kaye is exactly what a St Lucian holiday should be. The welcome from the staff, the quality and cleanliness of the accommodation and its position make this the best place to stay on the island.
Nestled on a hill just above the shore line the rooms have great views of the sea and are in enough space not to be overlooked by a neighbour. Our room “Gwiyen” which means smile had its own plunge pool and sundeck with a hammock. On arrival the room was beautifully presented with flower petals arranged throughout.
It’s a short walk to the main building which housed reception, a small gift shop and the open dining area. There are sunset views whilst eating in the evenings. Breakfast was a buffet and great value at US$10 each, fresh local fruit, the normal selection of cereals and pastries plus various cooked options, with a chief on hand to prepare any particular fancies.
The brochure mentions the large number of steps to the beach but we found these to be not that difficult if you took your time.
You will not find the big name fast food and coffee shops in the resort, which we felt was a positive. If you are on holiday on a Caribbean island why would anyone want it to be spoiled in this way? If that’s what you are looking for then Rodney Bay is for you, there you can feel right at home with shopping malls and big advertising hoardings and electric gated resorts.
Ti Kaye is off the beaten track and hidden down a long narrow track. The beach facilities mean access to the sea is easy for scuba diving and snorkelling as well as sea tours and water taxis. The bay is well kept and hotel staff are there to make sure you have enough towels and sun loungers. The beach restaurant means food is on hand without the need to ascend the steps up to the main buildings.
We made the most of the spa, both of us have a couple of treatments. We didn’t try the gym so can’t comment on the facilities.
We had a hire car delivered to Ti Kaye so we could explore some of the island. Best get a 4x4 as road conditions can be varied. The roads are quite narrow but the drivers were courteous and they drive on the left so we felt at home.
A couple of must do’s are eat at the Rain Forest Hideaway restaurant in Marigot Bay and try a lunch or Friday dinner at the Pink Plantation House on the hill above Castries.
