Beautiful little town with this lovely bar restaurant overlooking the water and sea. Very cute place with good service and very tasty food. Prices above average but worth every penny.

The drive there is nice and the views are beautiful.

I had avoided this place for a couple of years as the place had gone down hill. However, took the dog for a walk and ended up here. Not only could we get a delicious bottle of Cornish dry white wine for a reasonable price, I could have eaten anything on the menu.
We shared a fish platter complete with squid, mackerel, king prawns and crab and a lobster mac and cheese. It was all really fresh and tasty, served with a lovely dressed salad and salty focaccia bread.
All this whilst sat in the sun, over looking the water.
Can’t beat it.
Dog friendly inside also, which is another plus.
Will be a weekend regular here I’m sure.

Its a lovely location overlooking the river, particularly enjoyed a visit last summer sitting outside on a warm summer evening. Decided to return for a meal inside on a Monday evening. Very quiet - we were almost on our own by the time we left just after nine. Rather stark inside - very clean and tidy but not a lot of atmosphere. Somewhat limited menu with a bias towards fish/seafood but some meat and vegetarian options. I started with a yarg rarebit served on quite thick but light bread with a tasty chutney, then a fish/seafood broth with plenty of good monkfish, scallop, mussel etc in it but a rather thin and salty broth. Limited wine list - we had three different glasses between us and found them all very good. Service very pleasant and efficient - helpful front of house, didn't have to wait too long of our food.
A bit on the pricey side for what is on offer in our view - typically £8 for starters, £17 for mains for what is definitely pub grub not haute cuisine. Would not stop us going again, but there's plenty of alternatives around that are at least as good.
I have been non-committal about parking - the pub car park is minimal and I presume staff use it because when we left the pub was empty but still cars in their car park; road parking is very limited and I imagine can be a problem at busier times.

We visited the pub 3 different times in March with family, friends and by ourselves. Each time was for their excellent Sunday Lunch. Every dish tried was excellent. Service was friendly and great. With such a beautiful location and great food and service we shall be there many more times. Drive, walk, go!
