Probably the best cooked food we have had since being in Ecuador for a week.
Simply cooked but great quality. Very quaint atmosphere with excellent service (low season when we were there). The owner Don Wilson meaning Señor Wilson was delightful and brought us an aperitif that had anise but otherwise was 100 proof alcohol.
All our meals were good though the chicken soup (both the broth and the soup) were excellent..very tasty. The Trucha al ajillo was also very good and much better than the trout at the Temas Pappallacta just up the road as well as at least half the price. Hijos con quest (figs with cheese) were our choice of dessert and we were not disapointed. All in all a delightful experience.

Lunch stop on our trip, place was clean, well service and the food was really good too. The plates size are big, products fresh from the area. Has WiFi so you can check you cyber world with no problem.

Our large group arrived quite late in the evening, and were quickly showed to our rooms. The property looks like it is currently undergoing renovation, but it was not bothersome to our group. The room that I stayed in was spacious and clean, and had a private bathroom with a hot shower. However, there was no interior heating and was very chilly at night. The highlight of the property was definitely the hot springs and the view! There is one that is located almost underground, with a door to keep the steam in, which was my favorite. It may not have been the most clean place, but it was more about the experience. While it was pretty out of the way, I would stay here again.

We (family of 4) ended up paying $120 for a room that should have cost us $50. The whole hotel was under renovation in various stages and the staff made little effort to accommodate or communicate with us in any way. We had to ask (mime) for everything and did not receive room service to empty the garbage, which is a big issue in countries where you can't flush the TP. The hot pools were great, totally retro with a grotto, sort of Flintstones like construction. It was surreal. The one and only restaurant attached was pretty good. If the luxury resort up the road is full, stay here only if you can get a fair price !

We stayed there on our tour to the Oriente (Napo). The room is big, but the bed is too small for a double bed. As it was really cold, there was only a insufficient gas heater located in the chimney. The room was offered as including Jacuzzi, but there was no possibility to bring water into it. The shower was big enough, but if you're chilled through, you should search a different one.
