I'll start with the negatives as they're not many:-
We had a sea view studio of which we booked through Travel Republic. We arrived at 5.00 in the morning and the key was left in the door for us as requested (we emailed direct to ask for this - their website is under Beach Star Hotel). Bit disappointed that there were 2 single beds and a sofa bed (see pic). We assumed there would be 4 beds. We let the kids have the beds and my partner and I slept in the sofa beds and I can assure you they were not very comfy!
Pool Bar too expensive. 2 euros for a soft drink is too steep we think. They were charging the same prices as restaurants. We would go to a local supermarket and buy soft drinks for 60-80 cents each and stock up the fridge in the room. Luckily everything was within close proximatey, so going back to the room for a drink was no great rave. Food we thought was also too expensive and not good value. The kids had chicken nuggets & chips one day and this cost 5 euros and there wasn't must on the plate. For lunch we ate instead at Napolean snack bar just up the road. Far cheaper and the man who runs it is really nice.
Showering at a peak times was not easy. Water would be boiling hot one minute and cold another and then eventually cut out completely - usually when your hair was all covered in suds!! You get there eventually though and we did laugh about it, but it can take time...
Now for the good side!!
Even though the sea view studios sleeping arrangements were not great, the view made up for it with the balcony being quite large as well. Rooms were off a good size and were very clean with a nice size bathroom. Kettle & toaster were supplied too which to us is a luxury in Greece.
Pool fantasic, very clean as was all of the hotel & grounds. The owner & Maz in the pool bar very friendly. You need any advice and she will help.
Air con reasonable at 7 euros per night with safety deposit box FOC at Beach Star Hotel
Sandy/rocky beach was just two steps in front of the hotel. You do have to pay for sunbeds so we didn't bother, we just walked across in our swim gear whenever and went for a swim. You can hire peddalo's with slides on (10 euros per hr) or a speedboat (cheapest 15hp engine for 30 euros for 2 hrs).
Nightlife in Sidari was fun, Michael Jackson is still alive there along with Freddie Mercury & Elvis. We never hit on a fantastic restaurant to eat out at, they were all just OK.
We did a few trips, but I see other reviews have spoke about them so I won't go over it again. However, Spot Travel (just up the road) were very cheap to book through.
Our holiday overall in Corfu was really great. We stayed in Kassiopi for the 2nd week of our holiday. Combing the 2 resorts was great as Kassiopi is quiter and has more charm. We also found some great restaurants there too.
One tip though, take every mosy repellent you can with you, the island is swarmed with them along with wasps. We have been to many greek islands and this one was by far the worst.
