Only a stone's throw from the Baroque centre of Scicli Hotel Novecento is a perfect boutique hotel.Tucked away on a little cobbled street it is not easy to find if arriving by car.We happened upon it purely by chance after negotiating the one way system more than once !! But the hotel once found more than lived up to our expectations and previous reviews. Our room overlooked the courtyard it was quiet, spacious with alarge comfortable bed and a quite stunning bathroom. Breakfast was excellent plenty of choice and lots of it. Lucia, Vincenzo, Luigi and Antonella were all very polite, friendly and helpful, their local knowledge was invaluable. We loved it at Novecento and hope to return sometime in the future.

Room Tip: Room 903 is at the rear of the hotel overlooking the courtyard. Very quiet.

We arrived about 4am instead of 9/10 pm, after a nightmare flight with Ryan Air, a hunt in the dark for our hire car & a nightmare journey from the airport.

From the minute we arrived, thanks to the help of a local bar owner, we were safe, warmly welcomed, nothing was too much trouble & each of the staff that we met, were kind & helpful. Thank you to the wonderfully kind night staff!

The car park is a short walk from the hotel, but because of my disability & illness, disabled parking next to the hotel, was found for me, by the staff.

We spent a week in this paradise, within this beautiful town & it was a wonderful way to begin our Sicilian adventure.

We would like to thank all of the staff, but particularly two members of that staff who were devoted to our welfare & that of the other guests.

We give this hotel 10* for hospitality, warmth, our room & we would go back there tomorrow if we could! We left with great sadness!

Thank you Hotel Novecento & Scicli

We loved this small hotel in Scilci .We had a room at the back of the hotel which opened onto a small courtyard and which we often used to sit for tea/coffee and to just relax. The room was very clean and the bed linen was a very high quality . The whole finish in the hotel was excellent. Breakfast was served in a cool clean dining room and there was plenty of variety to choose from.
Luigi and Vincenzo ran the hotel and were extremely helpful and friendly. They did their very best to give us excellent service at all times..Our thanks to both of them for a memorable holiday. We had a wonderfult time and watched the filming of the TV series "Inspector Montalbano". We loved it all

Right in the heart of this beautiful town and perfect for exploring the area. Breakfast was wonderful - so much choice. Whilst initially disappointed our modern room didn't have a frescoed ceiling, we found ours comfortable and quiet - just what we needed after a busy day exploring. The reception staff are really friendly and knowledgeable; able to recommend places to go that weren't in our guide book and to help with parking, which is quite difficult in Scicli.

Room Tip: If you want one of the rooms with frescos, there are only two so have to be specifically requested.

We had been to Sicily before but stayed in the north , this time we wanted to explore the south of the island, and were so pleased that we chose Scicli and the Novocento Hotel. It is located in the historical part of town and is quite difficult to reach along very narrow cobbled roads, fortunately for us on our arrival, a local lady sitting on her doorstep saw that we were lost, and immediately offered to show us the way !!!
The hotel is not large and has seven or eight bedrooms. The bedrooms are large and kept spotless, and ours had a frescoed ceiling. The air conditioning was very good, and we needed it as the temperature outside was getting very high.
Breakfast was included and consisted of cereals, fresh pastries, assorted bread and cheeses, fresh fruit, and a good selection of teas and coffee.
Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the staff of the hotel who all made you feel very welcome, but special thanks to Vincenzo and Luigi who seemed to oversee everything, a great hotel and one that we would highly recommend.
