Very, very nice rooms, everything you should expect form a good hotel.. The pool is nice, though a bit small taking the hotel's capacity in consideration.
App. 1 kilometre from the centre of Chaweng. The beach in front of the hotel is ok, nothing special. But, around the corner starts wonderful Chaweng beach and it very easily accesible (200 metres perhaps). Plus, you are away from the buzz of the masses this way.
I highly recommend their massage services, the best i tried in Koh Samui.
Enjoy!

I was there during the period of 20th to 24th of august. The location was perfect! In a quiet place just few miles away from the nightlife and the most amazing place. The private beach was ok but just around the corner (2 min walk) you'll find the typical Samui's Paradise...white sand and crystal clear water! I defenitely reccomand this place and I also suggest to rent a scooter (200mt from the hotel for only 150bath a day) in order to save money with taxi and visit all the monument of this amazing island!!

This is the first time we have ever complained about any hotel we have stayed in!

5 reasons why we HATED Al's Laemson resort.

1 - All the bungalows are built SO close together - In front, behind, to the left, to the right. IT'S HORRIBLE - our outdoor shower was 1 metre from the balcony behind us. You can not even open the curtains because all the surrounding bungalows look in!

2 - The Breakfast buffet is the worst we have ever had at any hotel in Thailand.

3 - The beach at the front of the resort is ugly.

4 - The front reception staff are SO rude - i asked politely if we could move room & they said "no, you are stuck in room you have been given."

5 - The tv is so old fasioned & there is no dvd player.

This resort is very close to the airport, about 15 minutes. The hotel is situated at the top end of Chaweng Beach down a little side street with a elevated sign bearing the hotel name. There are 79 standalone bungalows which are nice. The rooms are bright, spacious and clean. The bathroom was nicely renovated and also included an outdoors shower if you want to embrace nature. There is also an indoor bath/shower in case you don't like the outside one. Overall, the room itself was good. We got a nice welcome when we arrived, staff very helpful. We did arrive in the low season so the place was very quiet. We are affected by the base tones used in modern music and our only criticism is that even though we were far from the nightclubs we could hear the music all night from midnight until 6.00 am which meant we could not sleep.

I booked into this resort for four days but only stayed for three. The bungalows are nice enough but the septic tank smell was very bad after the room had been closed up for a while. The bungalows are not private, pull the curtains at all times. Lights around the resort are on almost the entire night and it was hard to get to sleep.
At breakfast, the plates were dirty, the coffee was cold and the bacon was not edible.
The resort is a long way from the main centre of Chaweng Beach and the walk to find transport long and hot.
The pool is very nice but that was about the only good part of our stay. There is a lot of rubbish lying around, lots of staff who walk right past it all. There are a lot of weeds in the gardens, lots of grounds staff also walking past them. Place looks shabby.
I would not go there again.

Room tip: The room right by the pool
