We booked the Farmhouse which houses 16/17 for the Easter weekend 2018. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the farmhouse. It was at least twice as big as we had imagined. Underfloor heating is quite enough to keep the rooms warm. Living room with sofas big enough to allow us to be seated at the same time. Good kitchen facilities and dining room. Since we have been to other holiday venues like Centre Parcs, we were aware that we had to bring our own toiletries. There is hot tub exclusively for the farm house and the views from the tub are amazing. We also used the swimming pool and the common hot tub. There is also a snooker table which we did not use. Wifi is available at a small charge. We had good mobile coverage at the cottage. Would definitely recommend for any group size as there are other cottages with different capacities. Will not hesitate to book again.

Room Tip: book early as these are sought after especially during bank holiday weekends.

My friends booked the farmhouse for my hen party and it was absolutely amazing. The rooms are incredible and the surroundings are so peaceful. It was all very clean and the owners were very helpful when we arrived and then left us to enjoy our stay with no fuss. It was a real treat to enjoy the hot tub with such a beautiful view! Even though there are other cottages around and there were other big groups in them, we felt like we were the only people there. It’s a great place to stay if you want to get away! I’m already wondering what other occasions I can gather 16 people for so we can go again!

Had a brilliant time away at Bowlees cottages over the past three days. It was a quiet hen weekend, and the five of us stayed in the Raby Cottage.

Highlights:
- Private hot tub had a great view
- Beds were very comfortable
- Big bathroom
- Underfloor heating
- Fire
- Beautiful cottage
- Very friendly service
- Tv and DVD player

To note:
- Dishwasher wouldn’t work properly for us, and no washing up liquid was left for us to use
- WiFi was a bit pricy so we just used our personal data
- Didn’t know where to go/what to do to check-in
- Check out time is 10am, was a bit of a push. Would prefer it if check out was a bit later.

Would definitely love to return again in the future. Thank you very much Tony!

Just returned from a fabulous 2 day getaway at Bowlees cottage...staying in the Heartwell cottage. 12 ladies from Birmingham...arrived to meet the lovely owner Tony...who was so amenable....due to the very cold n snowy weather he made sure we were as warm as possible...even providing an additional electric heater until the underfloor heating had kicked in. The cottage itself along with the facilities were second to none..the bedrooms...the bathroom...amazing hot tub were just perfect for the group. The only complaint was that it was not long enough! Tony and his colleagues were expectional on the day we left...yesterday...due to the treacherous snow conditions...all the cars were snowed in...they kindly dug us out and drove them down the hill to the main road...absolute diamonds. We would totally recommend staying that this cottage again...Thank you Tony !
