The cottage was perfect for our stay in Snowdonia. It was in an excellent location, close to all the activities we were taking part in during our visit. The house was extremely well equipped, and the welcome hamper was very much appreciated. Thank you for a great stay!
A great stay, with every home comfort you could think of. Beautiful Portmeirion plates, mugs, bowls etc. The cottage is warm, lots of hot water and clean. The location is very quite, even though you are in a fairly built up area. My preference is to be somewhere a bit more rural with less neighbours (the only reason for 4 stars and not 5), but if you want to be in a village and walk to the local supermarket, café or bakery than this is ideal location. I would recommend this cottage to a friend. The owners had gone to a lot of trouble to make the place homely, with a little welcome note and a fabulous welcome hamper. We all had a great time, thank you.
We wanted to stay somewhere which was central to all the famous spots in Snowdonia. The house was extremely warm and toasty, especially with the fire on with a glass of red wine at night. The kitchen was INCREDIBLY well stock with kitchenwear and not to mention all the spices and herbs - my friends and I are what you could call ‘foodies’ so our evenings were spend cooking up big meals and we had absolutely everything to chose from when it came to preparing breakfast and dinner.
The main bedroom is prefect for a couple and the two other bedrooms at the back of the house are perfect if you have kids. My boyfriend and my two friends who are also a couple did two nights each in the front room so we all had a fair share, but the single beds were really comfy and all bedrooms a good size. We slept really well every night, and to be honest only ate dinner and slept there. Most of our time was spend all day walking in this magnificent country. I’m originally from north Wales but my friends and partner are all from London - they had no idea it was going to be as dramatic of a landscape as it was.
The hamper was a lovely touch and the wine we received went down a treat after walking in Betws-y-Coed.
Blaenau Ffestiniog is a rural slate mining town. We wanted to stay somewhere like this to really get an experience of how many towns in Wales are. We spent so much time walking through woods, along rivers and up and down mountains. To experience a famous mining town like Blaenau was absolutely at the top of our itinerary so this was a no brained for our trip.
If you take a left onto the high street at the bottom of the road, driving away from the town. There are some amazing views of this town, it may rain a lot in this valley but it’s a welsh mining town at its absolute best.
It was one of the best weeks my friends and I have had away. Looking back at our pictures it’s as if we visited four different countries all in one go. We will be returning again with more of us next time as this place could have slept another two people.
An exceptionally well equipped cottage within 5 minute walk to shops, pubs and restaurants in town centre. On arrival found an amazing welcome hamper full of really good quality products and treats. A really cosy and comfortable stay for six of us. I have no reservation in recommending this property.
