“Beautiful cosy cottage that feels like home.”

This cottage is a fantastic property for a get away to the beautiful welsh hills. I stayed here for a weeks while in the area as a student and it was home from home for me. Owners made sure everything was available and perfect for us. The fireplace and rocking chair make it a great night in for anyone who wants to go exploring the iconic area of Snowdonia (which is right on the doorstep..literally!) Location is great for everyday essentials and very friendly people around. Could not ask for a nicer, cosier place to stay which has everything anyone would need to make themselves at home.

I am glad that you enjoyed the cottage and its facilities and that you felt at home. I have tried to make the cottage the sort of place I would like to stay in myself and I extend the warmest welcome I can to all my guests.
However, I am sorry that you did not like Blaenau Ffestiniog. Yes, it is an old slate mining town and there is evidence of its industrial heritage in the local landscape and also in the visitor attractions on the doorstep, such as the steam train (which used to carry the slate to Porthmadog for shipping) and the slate cavern tours, underground and overground zipwires, mountain bike trails on the old slate tips etc. Many visitors find Blaenau Ffestiniog's industrial past fascinating and that is why they come here.
