It was a small well managed hotel with little surprises not found in most hotels that make your day and remember this hotel in your many years ahead. The staff were very polite and helpful (they can't speak much English but still go all out to help you based on the best of their ability, like use google translate). On my check in day, we arrived late, it was all dark, the staff recommended a very nice and cosy place for dinner and the food was reasonably
priced and super delicious. Cooked by one elder Japanese uncle in his cosy cafe (cum house - I guess).

Little surprises like free face mask, little toothbrushes for your toddlers, buffet of pillows, dessert buffet, free beer, treats, ice cream, etc etc.

Many many good memories of Furano and will make one want to go back to experience all again!

Stayed for 3 nights to try out the Ski slopes. Overall, good comfortable and cleaned room with lots of amenities, including indoor and outdoor onsen, gift shop, small convenient corner for food, drinks. Free steam potatoes, ice cream, one free beer and one free dessert buffet per stay and 24hr hot drinks and water at the lobby. The breakfast was pretty good with variety of spreads, mostly Japanese, salads, breads, fruits and yogurt. Buffer dinner was not as appetizing so we went out for dinner for the 3 nights.
Hotel provides the local dress, Samue for use within the hotel and for hot spring use. Very comfortable and fitting, in fact you can choose the size at the rack near the reception and also the many different types of pillows as well.
One thing lagging was shuttle service to Furano station for restaurants and shopping at the Furano marche. You can either take a taxi or waitt for the lavender bus that stop right in front of the hotel.
Overall, pretty good value especially for family.

Good family hotel as there’s a sitting area within our 3-bed hotel room.

Complimentary hot & cold drinks including ice cream n marshmallows n dessert buffet!

Lots of snow during our stay. Walkable restaurants nearby even in the snow.

Was told that the ski place here is not opened yet. It’s actually right in front of the hotel lobby. We can see the chair lifts from our room window but it’s not in operation yet.

There’s actually pillow menu n board games and as what others have mentioned, free diapers, breastfeeding pillows, etc. most comprehensive list of complimentary items in any hotel that I’ve been in the world. Really impressive.

Didn’t go to the onsen but it’s kept separate for men n ladies. They also have indoor n outdoor onsens for each gender. A pity that there’s no reservable family onsen.

Rooms in winter was automatically heated to about 30 degrees which was way too hot for us even if we are from Singapore. Tried opening window to let in cold air from the snow outside but still it was hot & stuffy in the room. No mentioned about the main temperature control by the staff. Found a fan outside the lift, brought it in and on it on a high including a humidifier on high, windows opened to the max (which is only like 4cm wide at an angle of 30deg)..still too stuffy n hot! Thermostat is showing 29 deg. Really unbearable.

Apart from this issue, the rest is ok.

We took 2 double rooms for our family of 4 and the rooms are comfortably-sized. As with all Japanese hotels, toiletries are amply provided but the icing on the cake here, are the complimentary face masks, heat packs to soothe your winter aches and pains, eye masks - even diapers and milk powder satchets! You also get to borrow customized pillows to enhance your beauty sleep. There is also a schedule of sweets and snacks at the lobby for guests to enjoy and it kept the kids happy. Enjoyed stay here.

Hotel Naturwald Furano is a kids-friendly hotel with a small indoor play area. They also have games for children. This hotel provide free-flow of drinks at the lobby area and serve complementary snacks at certain time in the evening. During our stay, there is also a performance by local artist, which is enjoyable. The breakfast is nice and in a cosy dining hall.
